49 deaths reported today, 50 yesterday & 42,000 cases plus today, I am feeling very nervous about the weeks ahead... The govt simply have to man up & take ownership of this escalating catastrophe....

@QueenStromba

Yes, I've explained how they were calculated in my post...

If you would like to know more feel free to contact.. Save our rights UK, World Freedom Alliance or One Voice or choose to believe the MS narrative... either of which have no relevance to me.. 16 months into this I've developed a thick enough skin for the 'tin foil hat, flat earther" etc shizz not to bother me iota Smile

Blinky21 · 15/07/2021 17:02

@xenoBitch lazy analogy, you can't catch cancer, that's why covid cases and deaths are reported....

FreekStar2 · 15/07/2021 17:06

Critical covid patients do require X rays and CTs to check for pneumonia and clots plus these were used diagnostically as PCR tests have a fairly high false negative rate
@QueenStromba This may be true, but that's not the main reason why routine tests and hospital appointments were delayed. But if people want to believe this, rather than the real reasons then crack on!

FromEden · 15/07/2021 17:29

I know its not the whole state and I did say that it is unlikely Florida will

You said they are bringing back mask mandates. A recommendation isn't a mandate. It's extremely unlikely they will be mandated again.

Horehound · 15/07/2021 17:51

We know they will increase...it just will be absolutely nothing like what we had before....

Warhertisuff · 15/07/2021 17:58

@dilly123

No I'm not, considering up to 1 million people marched in London in May & estimated 2 million in June no masks no SD & there wasn't a spike.
You don't help your cause by posting outrageous claims. It just reinforces the belief that you're views are unhinged from reality.

Wouldn't be the same independent fact checkers employed by Facebook would it?! 🤣😴

lljkk · 15/07/2021 18:09

UK.

14 July 2021: 49 deaths
30 June 2021: 25606 new cases

4 Nov 2020, 25177 new cases
18 Nov 2020: 529 deaths

16 Dec 2020, 25161 new cases
30 Dec 2020, 981 deaths

Now is not like then.

Ipanemama · 15/07/2021 18:10

Seeing as it’s very difficult to get a PCR at the moment, we will probably never know true case numbers.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 15/07/2021 18:15

Yeah I’m in London, off work today with a stinking cold and you cannot get a PCR anywhere in the vicinity.

Bitofachinwag · 15/07/2021 18:32

@SmidgenofaPigeon

You didn’t need to wear a mask in the crowd. They were test events, same as Wimbledon.

You needed to prove a double vaccine or register a negative LF test. DH is going to F1 silverstone this weekend. He only has one vaccine so had to register a negative test today to attend and one on Saturday while he’s there.

Is that a free LF test you do on your own at home? I can't see how that's equivalent to having been vaccinated at all.
ThereIsAGreenHillFarAway · 15/07/2021 19:36

I doubt the higher numbers are caused by the cup final.

Positive today, Thursday, means test done on Wednesday, likely ordered/booked Tuesday. So less than 48 hours post Wembley.

They were not test events. How could they be? No proper monitoring before or after the event. Data Manager here. I am furious that these totally open football events were allowed to go on regardless of the cost to anyone else. Apart from the financial benefit to whoever and the supposed euphoric benefit to spectators (but clearly not the mostly women who will be subject to increased domestic violence as a known result of loss).
SmidgenofaPigeon · 15/07/2021 19:51

It was a test event.

Also throwing domestic violence into it? What’s that got to do with people attending Wembley and subsequently testing positive?!
Violent men are violent men whatever the fuck their football team are doing.

Have you been hiding under a rock? The link between England losing and cases of domestic rising is well reported.

National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV), statistics highlight a sickening problem in society. Instances of domestic violence in the UK go up by a huge 26% when the England national football team is in action. Such cases rise by a whopping 38% when England loses a football game.

So it is a very real and relevant fact that violent men become even more violent when their beloved team lose a game.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 15/07/2021 20:10

Yeah, and the sad fact is that those women would get hit for another reason at some point, it is a sickening problem in society yes.

But fuck all to do with this thread, and the fact that spectators attended Wembley for the euros. You think those men wouldn’t have been violent if they’d watched it at home Confused

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 15/07/2021 20:15

More concerned about the data of ever higher trending bad news rather than the number of sad unfortunate lost souls and those infected already. After so many months no longer shocked by UK world beating Covid data as it is as much a reflection of our collective concerns as well as public behaviour lack of risk mitigation care, benchmarked against neighbouring comparable continental European nations with similar baseline demographics. I only expect more bad news until those that are not scared nor worried start to think is may happen to them and then hopefully although reactive and not proactive, will moderate their daily lifestyles and potential Covid footprint to be more compatible to accommodate a global pandemic and next wave. Essentially being alert and back at work but mitigating risks when sensible and normal to do so - to hopefully be more a part of the solution than forever the cause.

Bryonyshcmyony · 15/07/2021 20:18

Wow. That nearly sounds like a human wrote it.

MercyBooth · 15/07/2021 21:02

I'm not really bothered about the crowds and covid but the violence, hooliganism and people breaking into Wembley was very concerning though

YY @RedRiverShore I suspect Khan is kissing the sky thankful for the focus on masks because it neatly deflects from that shitshow last Sunday. What if one of those rushing into Wembley had been a terrorist. If it wernt for Covid and masks the MSM would be focusing on this.

Do you have any idea the space that 2 million people would take up? It would be truly colossal and central London would be filled from Marble Arch to the Tower.
shinynewapple21 · 15/07/2021 22:53

@GlencoraP

It’s so easy to fake . You don’t even bother to take the test . You just scan the QR for your LFT and then when it asks what the result is you tick false. Apparently thousands of people are doing this.

Depends on who is asking to see it. I have to show my actual test and hand it in so it can't be reused

Tealightsandd · 16/07/2021 06:09

Nothing new. People not worried about the millions of vulnerable and elderly in London.

don't think it will be Wembly itself that causes issues (outdoors, relatively well controlled, vaccinations and testing required) but all the socialising that went on away from Wembly.

Outside.. except the very crowded London underground's crowded tube trains crammed with fans going to and from Wembley. Poorly ventilated tube + highly transmissible airborne disease...

Footle · 16/07/2021 07:16

@Bryonyshcmyony , close but no cigar.

Not very hygienic! But apart from that they will still have no idea when the test was done unless you have to do it in front of them, or whether it was actually you who did the test, or whether the test was even done or if you just put the reactor fluid on with no swab etc
