Can't quite believe I've posted 30 in 24hrs either

Thanks, boys3, these are great tables.

I never knew there was a limit. Clearly I have not been posting enough graphs.
EasterIssland · 06/07/2021 21:01

Thanks boys. God Bristol is 400+!cases. Hope it soon starts going down

boys3 · 06/07/2021 21:09

@PrincessNutNuts. I find the graphs a welcome distraction from the seemingly endless football. Or at least until the MN picture limit got me. I can feel the siren Sauvignon call, but being a school night I shall resist.

Looking at the blue "optimistic" bars the North East and the South East jumped out at me immediately

Don't we get a special School night Sauvignon dispensation this week? I think we should.

Won't Mumsnet give you more image bandwidth if you ask? Worth a try?

Tinysalmonswimminginastream · 06/07/2021 23:24

Told you so.

Cannot believe that someone actually posted that on this thread. Some of you lot are fucking grim...

I'll be interested to see how the modelling shapes up now that Lambda is on the way (or indeed, already here).

Thanks boys (I think: a couple of areas of interest are rather to red/orange for my liking)

Thanks to mnhq allowing more graphs.

WarriorN · 07/07/2021 06:52

Thanks Boys.

Wow, south Tyneside has had a very sudden upward surge.

There are daily vax drop ins everywhere; both first and second. it's just actually quite hard to find out where they are. I found some online but many more sent via an email through work.

It could be messy data but Newcastle city council's page update showed a slowing of cases (but I really do think it's messy data.)

Thanks for this.

It's the speed at which cases are going up, however we also have lateral flow testing so it's hard to judge if it's also more testing. Deaths and hospitalisation have started to rise locally, not as bad as in the past so I just hope they remain that way.

WarriorN · 07/07/2021 06:58

Higher age groups aren't showing though so fingers crossed 🤞

Quartz2208 · 07/07/2021 07:52

@PrincessNutNuts and @NannyAndJohn new graph from Our World in Data (I hope first attempt at graph) that shows the impact it is now starting to have on the rest of Europe. The US is showing increases in most States now.

While seven out of those eight countries are doing the sensible thing and keeping restrictions in place, one of them is going to let it rip.

The UK stands out like a sore thumb yet again.

sirfredfredgeorge · 07/07/2021 08:06

As this is a Data thread NannyAndJohn, can you provide the data on the different restrictions in the 8 countries there?

My understanding is that most of them currently have less restrictions than the UK.

EasterIssland · 07/07/2021 08:42

Spain is in there. They’ve had nightclubs opened but are starting to consider to close them again. Face mask are compulsory indoors.

That’s as far as I know of the differences.
