I don't know how much the lower Scottish figures are related less infections or less testing due to people being away or not testing so they can still go on holiday and less lateral flows done as school is finished.

@NannyandJohn told us what? Potentially deaths may very well reach low 3 figures a day - it still wont change the message. I think you need to be realistic about how this is going to be handled from now on sadly.

Piggywaspushed there was an excellent US tv series called Code Black that basically made the point that it happens fairly often particularly in US hospitals and it does look also to be due to the self isolation issue that needs sorted. The impact on NHS staff of that until August is huge - plus annual leave. It is a perfect storm of reasons for that one.

Does seem to suggest that it has peaked in Scotland particularly as the 5 day lag shows a drop. There are signs it could be levelling across the board - but again it might not be.
