@iloveeverykindofcat

In Scotland, if you have a child in education, we already get full Office package for the entire family, so thats not fair, we don't get that extra park.

I have a woman who follows me around all day asking if I need any help. Can't seem to shut her up, though.

Oh and the winter wave of deaths will be from those vaccinated

I actually do understand what the OP means about conspiracy theories - a few people on my Facebook were posting about a new world order and listing ways in which that was going to happen and that did include things like mandatory vaccination, vaccines for children, deaths from vaccine in healthy people, not ending lockdowns, loss of fertility, vaccine passports, cashless society etc. I can't remember the exact order and there was alot on there (and it is a load of rubbish) but yes, alot of those predictions do seem to have some truth to them now. The thing is though those speculations were written and spoke about very dramatically and the people who share this information aren't usually the most intelligent of people and so it's easy to dismiss them without actually looking at what is being suggested.

Then there are the people who are twisting information and refusing to accept what's in front of them e.g when the news says there have been x amount of deaths within 28 days of a positive result, there are an unbelievable amount of people who seem to believe that this means perfectly healthy people who died in accidents are going down as covid deaths.

Awesome. Do we get to pick the colour and style? If not, I take that as an assault on my freedoms.

You’re totally right. I had the Pfizer vaccination and now when I hiccough, I make the Windows start up sound

@DumplingsAndStew

Covid passports
There aren't covid passports, but its entirely reasonable and common to have to show vaccination status from many illnesses to do/access certain things/places.

vaccines for children
We're not vaccinating children Confused

lockdowns not ending
Are you locked down right now?

virus from wuhan lab
I think many people always thought this is a possibility/probability

no freedoms even when you do take the vaccine
What "freedoms" are you missing right now?

deaths from healthy people having the Covid vaccine
There's always a risk of any vaccine or medical procedure

vaccines altering DNA (Mrna does enter dna)
Nope

lockdown again this winter...
Now, time travel is a theory. Not sure if it counts as a conspiracy theory though.

The freedom to enter shop, cinemas, public transport or anywhere indoors without a mask.
The freedom to travel to see family that we’ve not seen in nearly 2 years
The limits on guests at weddings
Not being able to visit relatives in a care home without a negative test, temperature checks, gloves, mask, apron, plastic screen between us.
I’ve not been able to hug my aunt in 18 months, she’s 89 with mild dementia. It’s confusing and deeply upsetting for her.
Having to social distance and book time slots at the gym
Etc etc etc

I'm not sure the things you've mentioned count as conspiracy theories really. I would consider those to be the bonkers ones about being injected with chips etc.

Only the deeply dim think like this, OP.

Get a grip and read some science.

I'm disappointed to some back to this and not find that the OP has come up with an actual conspiracy theory

As others have already said speculation about stuff that might happen isn't what that phrase means.

Some predictions are reasonable - extent and duration of infection control measures, for example and whether already existing measures such as proof of vaccine status will be required (as far more countries will demand them than do for yellow fever).

Conspiracies theories - does anyone else think the timing of the Gates divorce is suspicious?

Well as my dad would say ‘even a stopped clock is right twice a day’
Of course some of these things happened, but they probably named 50 other scary things that didn’t happen.

People are guessing and they rewrite and reframe things afterwards.
They do it all the time.

Nobody knows the future, that’s all I know for sure.

Because whenever there are a 'conspiracy theories' there will almost always be one that is true or has some truth to it, or seems to fit in some way.

It'll certainly be a great reset for Bills bank balance once that's all over.

@Bananasinpyjamas21

Covid passports - you can travel anywhere.
vaccines for children - this was always on the cards
lockdowns not ending - lockdown is already partially over, but again, restricting movement has been a key way to tackle viruses for hundreds of years
virus from wuhan lab - if you’d read any of the good scientists, all of them have said they don’t know the origin, it’s probably natural, but further investigation needed. No good scientist has said ‘it’s never this for that’ - we just don’t know. Bad ‘scientists’ say ‘it must be the wuhan lab’ on no evidence. We still have no evidence.
no freedoms even when you do take the vaccine - you have the freedom to go where you want, do what you want for almost anything you can think of, have a meal, have a drink, take the train, visit your friend, go on holiday, go to the shop, go to the cinema… what freedoms missing?
deaths from healthy people having the Covid vaccine - all vaccines have risk - do you know how to weigh up risk? Risk of having vaccine deaths vs risk of not having vaccine deaths? This isn’t a ‘prophesy’ - you give vaccines to millions of people there are not zero risks and no one ever said there were (except stupid politicians who are not scientists)
vaccines altering DNA - (Mrna does enter dna) - well you are right on that one I grew an extra head after Pfizer - half of me now wears a tin foil hat.

What about the U-turn on vaccinating children? This doesn’t seem like it was always planned?

The conspiracy theorists I know believe we have all been implanted with a microchip via the vaccine which will render the next generation sterile, that this has been done because the Illuminati are the Devil's servants now running the world the end of which is nigh. They have bought a smallholding in Wales to fend it off. Impressive retaliation against The Devil and all his forces.

I think some people change their own definition of conspiracy theories depending on whether they believe there is something in it or not Grin

OP I am in a similar position. I have a friend who has been quite badly mocked for 'sharing conspiracy theories'. Quite a few of the things she’s been mocked for are starting to become reality.
@Ostara212 Ah yes, mandatory vaccination is another one. And it has been made mandatory for care home workers already. What’s to stop it being made mandatory in other industries?
www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/world/2021/jun/15/covid-jabs-to-become-mandatory-for-care-home-staff-in-england

I’m not a conspiracy theorist honest 😅 although I have massive reservations (to put it lightly) about the Covid vaccine. I like to keep an open mind to anything and so many of these conspiracies everyone laughed at early 2020 and now true.
So how is that a conspiracy theory?

I agree these are obvious things - back in March 2020 I said Christmas would be cancelled, I also said stock items would get rarer and more expensive, I also said lockdowns would keep happening

I think maybe some people are unable to look at the bigger picture and think logically about what’s happening around them

This is why is comes as a bit of a surprise when these things happen

This is why government leak likely scenarios so the public are braced for them happening.

It's absolutely true! It was foreseen that crazy folks would start posting stuff like 'why are all the conspiracy theories coming true?'.

Coincidence? - I don't think so!
