I’m sure this is just a troll post but if not I’d love for you to elaborate on which of these conspiracy theories you think are coming true OP?

First thing that popped in my head was COVID passports? Someone in work mentioned them right at the beginning and we laughed but it's a more serious thought now isn't it?

Ah yes I wondered why there were half as many people around as normal and my local maternity ward is completely empty?

Some of these answers are hilarious

I have noticed the birds are louder in the mornings lately. Maybe the government really are just changing their batteries 🤔

Vaccine passports aemet a conspiracy theory. Being able to easily evidence you've had both jabs is a sensible option for any country and no different from when I had to get yellow fever vaccine etc to go to most of the rest of the planet.

That's exactly op's point. That they are not a conspiracy theory, they are coming true even though most dismissed them as a conspiracy theory

I wondered what that funny tingling & buzzing in my left arm was. Must be my chip transmitting to Bill Gates.

Ouch! That hurt!

I must call him divine leader Gates

Which part of vaccine passports is “coming true”? Other countries requiring proof of vaccine before UK residents are allowed in? I don't think anyone ever "dismissed" this as a possibility (although I don't think this has even “come true” yet anyway as other countries will accept alternatives to the vaccine, such as a recent negative test etc.).

Or do you mean something else?

My granny has been trying to get pregnant since January - she was one of the first to be vaccinated - they were right millions of women over the age of 50 are now not able to become pregnant.

Not that many places actually require any proof for short-term visitors. Most requirements are for those applying for a work or residence visa. Lots of places ‘recommend’ shots but by no means are required for entry

I was seriously hoping for better mobile reception.
2 jabs done. Nope. Not a thing. Gutted.
Hoping once dh gets his second jab there will be a magical forcefield that envelops the house and helps out with my phone too. Because he’s a man, obvs, and it must only work for the men...

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Great replies.

Covid passports, vaccines for children, lockdowns not ending, virus from wuhan lab, no freedoms even when you do take the vaccine, deaths from healthy people having the Covid vaccine, vaccines altering DNA (Mrna does enter dna) lockdown again this winter.... I could go on actually. It’s funny until you really look at it.

Depends what you mean

I don't attract precious metals after my vaccine. 😂

Needing a vaccine for a job was not a CT though some people tried to say that it was

So what did you mean?

Report

Okay. Hard hat donned.

If you want my conspiracy theory it's that a lot of these conspiracy theories are fabricated by people who know it's completely fabricated so that any talk remotely related to an issue is dismissed by rational / sensible people without a second thought.

So... for example: This was created in a lab as part of a nefarious plot by China to take over the world. Sounds absolutely bonkers. But the question of wether this might have accidentally escaped from the institute of virology is really not as bonkers. And when you get into the gain of function research previously banned in the US, you start to see potential motives for why they might not want people asking questions.

Another example for the sake of argument (since it's been mentioned on here: This is all Bill Gates attempt at world domination. Again, absolutely bonkers. Any mention of Bill Gates on a covid thread is quickly laughed away. But. There are some important questions to ask about the power and influence wielded by a single man. Bill Gates opening remarks at the global vaccine summit. Bill Gates on the anti-vaccine movement. What's inside coronavirus vaccine - Bill Gates interview. All top results on youtube and one could argue perfectly valid for a philanthropist billionaire to comment on. The man obviously wields power and influence. But when he's making it clear that the rich half of the world must not share patent information with the poorer part, that they must not be allowed any part of the manufacturing process... then it becomes slightly less bonkers to ask questions around just how much power and influence this man has.

So there you have it folks, my conspiracy theory to end all conspiracy theories. I'll put my hard hat over my tin hat Grin

Our neighbourhood conspiracy theorist was telling me that Covid precautions are part of a government plot to kill off the elderly, who are the least productive and most expensive members of society.

An old guy down the street died last week, so it must be true.

I think when the OP says "conspiracy theory", she means things she doesn't like.

Presumably the English language is one huge conspiracy theory to her.
