Latest Sanger data updated this morning.

Figures by region; largely just showing those councils with at least 4 cases identified through standard surveillance over the past two weeks.

As such:

08 May - cases identified
15 May - cases identified
Prior 2 weeks - total of cases identified w/e 8th and 15th May
Delta % - for that two week period the % of identified cases as a % of all surveillance tests for the council area. Note #Div indicates that there were no cases identified as no surveillance tests.
Then
22nd May - cases identified
29th May - cases identified
Last 2 weeks - sum of those two weeks
Delta % - as above but obviously for all surveillance tests just in the last two weeks.

thanks boys3
Looks like Cheshire East has shot up, yet Cheshire West hasn't - which is odd as they're doing surge testing in both Northwich and Winsford which are Cheshire West. Confused
It can't just be all the Mancunians driving over to rural Cheshire for a nice pub ploughmans.🤔

EducatingArti · 07/06/2021 13:10

There are an awful lot of people who live on Cheshire East and commute into Greater Manchester though.

PatriciaHolm · 07/06/2021 13:10

I'm thinking we could get quite a bump today in LFT cases, as the schools are going back - I know minus most of Year 11 and 13, but looking at the LFT numbers I suspect a lot of students weren't testing (or reporting) over half term, and will have tested yesterday before school today. Which could bump today.

EducatingArti · 07/06/2021 13:11

We've shot up 3 fold in a week. Thanks for the data Boys. All info to add to my decision making process.

Firefliess · 07/06/2021 13:16

Thanks @boys3. Those are interesting tables

ILookAtTheFloor · 07/06/2021 13:19

My district has dropped, odd. I know of a handful of cases at a secondary school and feeder primary (sibling) in early May that didn't result in more cases.

I'm just gonna come out and say where- Chelmsford.

JanFebAnyMonth · 07/06/2021 13:24

Worrying report on R4 at the moment about vaccine hesitancy/ scepticism in the under 30s. They don’t trust the government. The next stage in the programme is not going to be as smooth as the previous ones.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 07/06/2021 13:27

EducatingArti, I agree, but there are similar numbers that travel east-west too, and into/out of wales. It's more the location of the surge testing when the neighbouring authority has double the cases. Confused

ceeveebee · 07/06/2021 13:28

Trafford and Cheshire are very interconnected, many Trafford children go to school in Knutsford; many children from Cheshire go to the Trafford grammars. My children’s primary catchment includes part of Cheshire. And similarly many people travel in and out for work, socialising etc too.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 07/06/2021 13:30

Jan I don't trust the govt either, but I'd still rather be vaccinated Smile
I do think you're right. It does seem that as most younger people seem to be less ill, they don't see the point in being vaccinated.

Piggywaspushed · 07/06/2021 13:33

I don't trust the government but I don't give them as much credit for the vaccines as they do themselves!

I think I may have arguments with DS1 about vaccines though.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 07/06/2021 13:34

Piggy that is going to be a bit one-sided. Wink Grin
