Those potato cakes with a fried egg are delicious.
I love the food shop. But there’s nothing like stuffing yourself with meatballs, mashed potato and that sauce they out on!
And then getting home and trying to find space for all the tuppa ware you bought and sent need!

123,000,000+ fully vaccinated

354 asymptomatic infections (0.0002%)

1,368 COVID-related hospitalizations (0.0011%)

290 COVID-related deaths (0.0002%)

Apparently it works out at 1 in every 100k vaccinated hospitalised and 1 in every 500k vaccinated died. Obviously we don't know the ages or if any underlying health issues too. So these numbers could be even better.

That's really extraordinary. I can't believe they've been this effective.

A walk-in centre is being opened for people to receive their first Covid-19 vaccine if they live and work in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Bayside centre, based in the former Toys 'R' Us store in Cardiff Bay, will open to people aged 18 from Thursday.

Not sure if I am being nuts. Was due to see a friend (outside) Sunday, being careful as want to see family one day in half term (plus it's the right thing to do). Friend is seeing people from high risk area (inside in restaurant) on Friday. I did say I didn't think people from should travel from the variant hotspots to another area, she's now huffy (has form !). Feel like I have to cancel.

I'm also irrationally raging about all the 'celebs' on holiday in amber countries. I've lost it.

I am with you on the celebs, DH has left to go back to his red list country after a visit that went far too quickly. He’s fully vaccinated, lives alone over there, is so careful and just wants to come back to visit his DC and me yet is stuck with costly and time consuming quarantines. No idea when he’ll next be able to get back so I’m feeling very woe is me and like it’s all unfair today.......

But the positive stats are helping!

If thats the case then its an indication that it "burns out" far more quickly. If it makes you feel ill sooner then you are more likely to stay home and not be spreading it around unawares!

It also suggests that good risk management strategies work agains that variant

I feel so sad today. I booked dds birthday party for the end of June at the soft play centre without thinking and I’m pretty sure it won’t go a head. I can’t see how they are going to unlock on June 21st 😭😔
