My mum got her vaccine! Thank goodness!

@TeaInTheGarden

🥳 Fantastic

All this latest stuff I am worried will put people off

The EMA are supposed to finish their investigation tomorrow afternoon according to Macron. So hopefully everyone will be reassured.

TeaInTheGarden · 15/03/2021 20:26

@Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum it really did worry her, and like I said she’s an intelligent woman with a science degree. So I really do hope it’s sorted soon and there isn’t any major damage done to confidence.

Pomegranatespompom · 15/03/2021 20:47

@TeaInTheGarden so pleased your mum had it.

tobee · 16/03/2021 00:16

Yes I'm worried it's going to put people off all the vaccines! 😏

I'm having mine at local hospital tomorrow. My friend went there tonight. Apparently they give either Pfizer or AZ. (As I've said before) I'll have what I'm given, thank you.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 16/03/2021 01:18

I am finding it interesting that some of the EU posters don't know J&J vaccine will be delayed like AZ there. The same manufacturing issues and everything. They said the vaccine delivery will be very short initially.

Posters seem to think it doesn't matter about AZ because they now have J&J. So I can only imagine there media are keeping quiet about the whole thing.

Between Pfizer and AZ having roughly the same small number of blood clots. Then J&J and AZ having the same manufacturing problems. It does make you paranoid that only one vaccine is ever given all negativity.

The only good news is everyone is us to the whole 12 weeks and over 65 rubbish. So in the UK people are less like to listen to this latest doom mischief

OrangeBananaFish · 16/03/2021 07:10

So when are we expecting J&J? Has it been approved here yet?

Pearl97 · 16/03/2021 10:45

Over 50’s seem to be able to book online

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 16/03/2021 11:11

Not approved yet. Shouldn't be long.

We are not due to get it until late spring or something anyway.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 16/03/2021 11:12

Really over 50s. Excellent 🥳

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 16/03/2021 12:26

Yay, dh has been able to book for tomorrow. He’s 54.

Pearl97 · 16/03/2021 13:20

Over 40’s that haven’t been done, get your arms ready!!! So lovely to hear of so many over 50’s that have booked. I think the official website wording will be change tomorrow to over 50’s. I’m still amazing at how hard people are working to make this happen.

TheChineseChicken · 16/03/2021 13:50

So, how long do we reckon before website booking is open to over 40s? It will be like trying to book Glastonbury tickets - refresh, refresh, refresh!

I'm already checking about half a dozen times a day as it is! Bar the DC, I'm the only one in my immediate family who hasn't been jabbed. I'm feeling a bit left out!
Autumn101 · 16/03/2021 14:06

I need you all today! After being so happy about DH being able to visit much easier the country he’s in has been put on the red list so he’ll have to do the 10 day hotel quarantine sigh........... I know it’s for the greater good and will accept it but today I want to stomp my feet!!

On the plus side I turned 40 in January so very excited at the prospect of getting a vaccine soon. I love hearing of all of you on here and your families getting them

tobee · 16/03/2021 14:14

All done ✔️! Sat in car to see if I get dizzy as per protocol Smile

carolinesbaby · 16/03/2021 14:26

Slightly envious of all the jabs happening this week - I'm not 40 yet so still a way off for me. DH getting jabbed tonight though which is good news. Wish France would pull their fingers out though, am worried about my Dparents.

Pearl97 · 16/03/2021 14:29

@TheChineseChicken I totally agree it’s like wanting a dress that’s sold out and you absolutely need it so have to keep checking if it’s back in stock!
I place my bet that it will be the 28th March it goes to over 40’s officially, so a few days before for us booking!!!

Hard to believe that such a thing that has dominated the world for so long and in such a way for so many of us, for me comes down to that little scratch! And what it contained! Those amazing scientists defying the critics of timeline and possibility. Brilliant people!

I had a 20 minute drive home and plenty of time to think about it all Grin.

BessMarvin · 16/03/2021 15:59

I suppose it might go over 45s and then over 40s later.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 16/03/2021 16:37

Cases have leveled off as expected with all this extra testing

Deaths 110 down from 231 last Tuesday!

carolinesbaby · 16/03/2021 16:47

Are we expected the cases to start to drop again, once the rash of new ones found in school have been stopped from spreading g?

ACovidofWitches · 16/03/2021 17:12

Amazing numbers today!
