It’s normal for viruses to mutate but they rarely become deadly as their purpose is to spread and killing the host doesn’t support this.

On what are you basing your prediction OP?

The thing is this is just based on your opinion. There is a chance that what you say could happen. There is also a very good chance it won't.
Most likely is that vaccines will give protection, there may be mutations that decrease vaccine effectiveness but on the whole many people's bodies will now recognise covid and they will not get as sick as they would have done.
The huge risk before was that it was a novel virus. We have better treatments now and scientists are working on improving vaccines. It is not all doom and gloom.
