which of the following best describes your experience?

  1. You had no side effects.
  2. You had side effects, but are no longer experiencing any side effects.
  3. You are still experiencing side effects.

I know there have been lots of threads about side effects, but am hoping to create one where it's quick to pick out whether people are talking about very short-term side effects or something that lasted longer. If you're a 3, would be interesting to know which vaccine, your age, and whether you have a pre-existing medical condition which you think might have affected your body's response to the vaccine.

Didn't stop we being able to work/do homeschooling

LemonRoses · 10/03/2021 16:36

1 but maybe some would consider a bit of a sore arm as a side effect as opposed to usual for any injection,

Branleuse · 10/03/2021 16:38

I felt slightly achy the next day, and that was it. Im not even sure it was vaccine related it was so mild

HollyHocks13 · 10/03/2021 16:42
  1. Pfizer. Sore arm for a few days but nothing else.
Weepingwillow22 · 10/03/2021 16:44

1 - had Pfizer. Had previously had covid and was relieved as I had read this could make side effects worse.

FuzzyPuffling · 10/03/2021 16:46

I had Oxford AZ. Three days of fever and sleepiness then one day feeling better. Then straight into a lupus flare, which may or may not be connected (probably is) but not a bad one, just extra fatigue rather than pain.

Hugely glad to be vaccinated.

  1. Injection site hurt for 24 hours, arm was slightly numb/heavy feeling and had slight swollen glands 5 days afterwards but faded quickly.

Early 30's, female, high BMI but otherwise healthy.

2 - chills, shivers and headache that kicked in a few hours after the jab, went to bed and slept it off. No real issues the next day.

Slight sore arm and that was it

JeanClaudeVanDammit · 10/03/2021 17:16

My parents and my siblings have had theirs. My brother said he felt like he had a bad hangover for about 48 hours. DF felt a bit achey. DM and DS nothing apart from slight soreness at the site of the vaccination.

Spodge · 10/03/2021 17:21
  1. Had AZ. Developed sore arm within an hour. Soreness lasted for a week. Not bad. Developed very heavy fatigue 10 hours after jab which lasted for about 12 hours and then vanished.
cricketmum84 · 10/03/2021 17:24

2 - slightly tender arm and felt very tired the next day with headache. Was fine the day after. I had the Pfizer.

Hohofortherobbers · 10/03/2021 17:52

2, Pfizer, really sore arm and a mild fever 24hours later then fine

Louisa7747 · 10/03/2021 18:04
  1. Had AZ, sore arm and a bit headachey around 24 hours later, only lasted a few hours, was fine the next day.
MrsWildermac · 10/03/2021 18:07

2 - Pfizer. Sore arm and fatigue on day 3 post vaccine.

bluechameleon · 10/03/2021 18:26

2, I felt really rough the next day but fine the day after. Everyone at my work had the vaccine in February and no one had any effects that lasted more than a couple of days.
