But of a fun post for us. .....What are you doing when youve dropped your kids off at school on the 8th macrh. I can't wait to come home and have a good sort out /charity bag it up of all the tat numerous bits of itty bitty paper and clutter that we've collected over the last 8 weeks . After that I'll probably be bloody bored and will miss and want the kids back 🤣🤣

Going to work 🤷🏻‍♀️

AfternoonToffee · 28/02/2021 21:47

Working, as I do everyday.

DH - the SAHP, will be letting the man in to mend the blind. What an exciting life we lead.

Covidatemyhomework · 28/02/2021 21:50

Working. Like every other day of this lockdown, just without the home schooling as well. Maybe I’ll be able to make some inroads into catching up on my workload, but suspect it will take longer than a day...

Theforest · 28/02/2021 21:51

Working. And doing school runs again.

Hate school runs lol.

RestingPandaFace · 28/02/2021 21:52

I’m seriously considering booking the day off to do nothing in silence.

OrangeBananaFish · 28/02/2021 21:58

Starting a new job and hoping that DD1 doesn't get a positive test on the 9th and I have to self isolate less than 2 days in my new job.

peak2021 · 28/02/2021 22:09

Work, and looking forward to asking the parents with children of school age how they are feeling and how their children have responded. All I have spoken to so far have children who are looking forward to it and speaking to friends again.

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 28/02/2021 22:19

Starting my dietGrin

OrangeSamphire · 28/02/2021 22:22

It will be no different.

I will be working from home as I have done for ten years.

My youngest (who has SEN) will be going to school just as he does now.

My eldest (who also has SEN) will be doing her home education the same as always because there is no school suitable for her.

I will be continuing this ridiculous juggle for ever while feeling jealous of all those who get a quiet house to themselves to do whatever they please!

notacooldad · 28/02/2021 22:24

No kids but I'm in hospital that day.

ChocOrange1 · 28/02/2021 22:27

My daughter will be going to preschool and I'll be setting up for her birthday which is on 10th March

TheLesserOfTwoWeevils · 28/02/2021 22:29

Starting a new job, so getting the kids into breakfast club as soon as it opens so I can get to the new office in plenty of time

Tomnooktoldmeto · 28/02/2021 22:30

Same as before, DD is educated from home anyway, DH moved his office home a year ago now 😱 and as a CEV person I’m still shielding

DS will return to sixth form on the 9th but school is still only having them in for their lessons so I will have to collect and bring home for all study periods

But I see the sunlight now and smile, when shielding ends at the end of March I can at last go outside cautiously having been vaccinated and for that I am grateful

BiddyPop · 28/02/2021 22:35

IF we are lucky on 12th April, dd will go back to,school in person. Meanwhile, I will continue to wfh, so the only change will be a chance for a Peaceful lunch. If she does actually get back at that stage.

Minikievs · 28/02/2021 22:39

Working

RaspberryCoulis · 28/02/2021 22:55

I'm in Scotland. Children here won't be beck until 19th April.

PoochiePlush · 28/02/2021 22:58

@pommedeterre

Work without having to do online lessons at the same time. Who thought that 'just' work would feel like a relief? Fucking mental.
Too true!
Titsywoo · 28/02/2021 22:58

Cleaning this filty cesspit! It's good though - I love cleaning! Grin I'm not actually sure the kids will go back on 8th with the whole testing thing to be done first. Hopefully will hear more tomorrow.

PoochiePlush · 28/02/2021 23:19

@lborgia

Celebrating International Women’s Day... before someone decides we don’t need it anymore.
Excellent post!!
1dayatatime · 28/02/2021 23:25

On the 8th I will spend the day worrying about how my DC are handling the transition back into classroom teaching. Some children liked remote learning whilst others didn't so it will be a source of stress / anxiety for many.

Cloudyrainsham · 01/03/2021 01:26

My kids don’t go back until the 11th as the school need the time to do 2 covid tests in each pupil and member of staff.

Cloudyrainsham · 01/03/2021 01:28

@Titsywoo - yes we are the 11th so all 2000 kids and teachers can have the two tests .

Joiningthegossip · 01/03/2021 11:53

I can't wait! I shall skip home from school, crash on the sofa and enjoy the peace!
Then I am going to go on really long walks, without kids fighting, racing each other, and then dragging their feet.

Then I go back to work in April, so I'm just going to enjoy it!!

QuidditchQueen · 01/03/2021 13:34

We’re doing one trst before return - pupils over three days this week, staff on Friday then all back Mon 8th

marieantoinehairnet · 01/03/2021 13:36
