But of a fun post for us. .....What are you doing when youve dropped your kids off at school on the 8th macrh. I can't wait to come home and have a good sort out /charity bag it up of all the tat numerous bits of itty bitty paper and clutter that we've collected over the last 8 weeks . After that I'll probably be bloody bored and will miss and want the kids back 🤣🤣

In theory, headphones on with a podcast whilst I throw open all the windows and clean and declutter all the crap that has accumulated.

In reality, I may just sit on my arse in front of the tv all day!!!

Mockolate · 28/02/2021 20:00

I''ll definitely be taking bags to the charity shop as soon as they're open again!
Also meeting up with my mum for a walk and a take out drink/sandwich.

MissCalamity · 28/02/2021 20:06

Pretty much the same as we have been doing the past 8 weeks, however on my day off on Wednesday I can do the food shop in peace and maybe go for a bike ride all on my own! 6 hours to myself, I can hardly wait Grin

Inanun2 · 28/02/2021 20:09

WFH as usual during lockdown but having my lunch at 1pm instead of waiting until 1.45 to time with school 30 min lunch, which is far too late for me as I have breakfast at 7.30 !

carolinesbaby · 28/02/2021 20:15

Going to work.

scrappydappydoo · 28/02/2021 20:22

Same as everyday Pinky - plot to take over the world!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 28/02/2021 20:25

Working, leaving my secondary aged kids at home by themselves all day again.

We’re in Wales - no clue when they might get to have face to face teaching again.....

ReceptionTA · 28/02/2021 20:29

I'll be at work. Having had a very strong coffee and taken a very deep breath having got DD onto the school bus (she really doesn't want to go).

Woolff · 28/02/2021 20:30

Trying to teach teenagers who really don't want to go back to face to face yet.

Working in an area which has had constant extra restrictions and numbers have just stayed way above average, we've had a huge number of bereavements in the school community and many kids are frightened of catching and taking this home to extended families.

Musmerian · 28/02/2021 20:32

I’m a teacher so I’ll be commuting by train and bus back to my school. Not looking forward to teaching with a mask though.

Confused Grin WTF lol Is there ANY thread that isn't safe from this batshittery hyperbole lol
DumplingsAndStew · 28/02/2021 20:39

Nothing, because my children don't go back to school until on or after the 19th of April, because we don't all live in bloody England.

JemimaMuddledUp · 28/02/2021 20:42

Am in Wales and my DC are secondary, so nothing different.

Hopefully DS1 (Y13) will be able to go back to school on March 15th, but it's looking increasingly like after Easter for the other two.

The thread said ‘what are you doing after you’ve dropped your kids off on the 8th March?’ As you’re not dropping yours off on the 8th March, I guess it wasn’t aimed at you.
MrBullinaChinaShop · 28/02/2021 20:44

Sorry @JemimaMuddledUp I tagged the wrong person! Should have been @DumplingsAndStew. Apologies.

smellyolddog · 28/02/2021 20:45

Working.. but in peace without my teens raiding the kitchen.

ohhhhitsme · 28/02/2021 20:47

Working. But without having to homeschool, prepare lunch for them, get them multiple snacks and drinks, clean up all the rubber mess and shite they create all round the house when doing school work.
I may get a full days work done

Violetlavenders · 28/02/2021 21:00

I'll be very happy for my teens why are desperate to go back to school!

BakewellGin1 · 28/02/2021 21:15

Ahhh mine doesn't go back till the 12th....
My days won't change a lot as I still have toddler DS and WFH partly...
However... I can't wait to hear about oldest DS day, know he is seeing people, face to face learning and hopefully returning to his normal self Smile
Ohhhhh and I might need to food shop less with him out and about too...

phlebasconsidered · 28/02/2021 21:16

I'm going from a mixed bubble of 25 to a year 6 bubble of 35 with only the weekend in between. I'll be going home to two teenagers in bubbles of over 100 who have to get a mixed school coach to school with kids from all the other bubbles and hoping to go I get a vaccination soon as a 49 year old asthmatic menopausal teacher.

My local fb feed is full of my class parents planning meet ups and cuppas together though which isn't filling me with joy.

Hotcuppatea · 28/02/2021 21:17

Working

joystir59 · 28/02/2021 21:23

It's International Women's Day!

BlackeyedSusan · 28/02/2021 21:32

Hoping they keep the vulnerable kids while they do testing.hoping we can get to school on time with increased traffic and reduced parking. Got lazy with getting DC to school. Got to shift everything half an hour earlier. Hoping homeschooled DC can go back asap.

Keeping fingers crossed that my immunity starts to build asap.

Hoping bubbles don't start popping again.

BlackeyedSusan · 28/02/2021 21:35

Hoping other people more or less stick to the rules to reduce chance of popped bubbles. No more sending kids in while waiting for a test.
