But of a fun post for us. .....What are you doing when youve dropped your kids off at school on the 8th macrh. I can't wait to come home and have a good sort out /charity bag it up of all the tat numerous bits of itty bitty paper and clutter that we've collected over the last 8 weeks . After that I'll probably be bloody bored and will miss and want the kids back 🤣🤣

Work... glad it's a big nice change for many.
It will be nice not to NAG DS to attend class and wonder if he's playing games instead.

Having to get up early to get dd onto the train for school Shock We've got used to doing the lessons until break in pyjamas!

And I've got to iron her shirts before then.

Me, I'll be wfh in a very quiet house

Minesril · 28/02/2021 15:30

Hopefully DS's morning nap will reinstate itself - he used to fall asleep on the school run. Not much will change really, except pondering how much better my mat leave would've been without a pandemic.

8th April though, I'll be back at work and everything will be different.

ilovebagpuss · 28/02/2021 15:36

Mine doesn’t go back until the 10th staggered for the testing. I am at work anyway so won’t feel the benefit except for being happier they are at school so it will help my mental health.

OliveTree75 · 28/02/2021 15:47

Enjoying the last few weeks of my maternity leave with my baby girl in peace, rather than having to basically ignore her to home school her brothers!

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 28/02/2021 15:47

At school, teaching your kids.

MuddyWalks · 28/02/2021 15:48

Feeling even more anxious about being a TA and picking up COVID.

PearlWellington · 28/02/2021 15:51

I will be cleaning the house... and waiting patiently until 12th March, when they will all be back hopefully!

Looking after dd without homeschool on top

SeldomFollowedIt · 28/02/2021 15:55

Drop my own kids off, and thank my lucky stars I no longer work in a school as a TA.

I’ll have a peaceful cuppa and bacon sandwich to celebrate.

LadyCatStark · 28/02/2021 15:55

Working 🤷‍♀️

usernotfound0000 · 28/02/2021 15:57

Looking forward to spending some time with dd2 who has spent far too long watching tv so that I could home school DD1.

I'll be at home annoyed and worried because it's way too soon for them to be back. I wanted schools closed until after the Easter holidays.
The school have always done the absolute best they can and it's not because of them I'm worried. It's because it shouldn't be happening yet

happymummy12345 · 28/02/2021 16:04

@OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow if that's your attitude I hope you don't teach my child. (... kids? Really? You're a teacher).

QuidditchQueen · 28/02/2021 16:04

Back in school teaching - hurray!!!!
My school is doing all the pre-testing this week so we can be fully back 8th -so happy!

ichundich · 28/02/2021 16:04

Prepping for my uni exam on 17th.

Globe22 · 28/02/2021 16:09

In school as usual, hoping to get back to a semblance of the new normal we had up to Xmas. Looking forward to everyone coming back in over the week. And glad that my own son may be back and meeting his mates.

Squashbanana125 · 28/02/2021 16:12

Spoke to DD’s school this week. Senior school and it’s not all pupils back on 8th March. They are doing staggered. 11 & 13 first. So first week may only be a few days she said. Still to be confirmed she said.
Best to check with your child’s school before you make any plans for a child free day. For me I’ll be at work (from home) either way.

GameSetMatch · 28/02/2021 16:16

I’ll still have the youngest at home, so nothing extreme.

SpiderinaWingMirror · 28/02/2021 16:19

Dd13 not back until the 11th. But them I will be getting on with wfh.

Helloyouthere · 28/02/2021 16:21

I'll be working in peace Smile.

Will get back to taking the dog out for a hour on my lunch breaks x

YetAnotherWalk · 28/02/2021 16:25

I will work and then wait for the call/email to say the bubble has popped meaning we're stuck at home for 10 days and I lose 2 weeks' income. Fingers crossed we get to Easter without that happening!
