MichaelMumsnet are you monitoring this thread (in the style of a KGB agent)...or reading it for fun?

Bring it on

Just saw I was deleted fur a pretty innocuous comment. Not impressed with the vigorous monitoring on this thread. Will you be as vigilant with the other threads on this board mhhq?

MarshaBradyo · 15/02/2021 17:20

@Pomegranatespompom

What a shame this thread has reported when I’ve seen far worse on others. Fair idea where this stemmed from 🙁

Have a margarita @Inastatus

The briefing is quite cheerful. I do find Sir Simon quite cheering too 😳

Nuts isn’t it.

Pom did he say anything about Feb 22 announcement? Is it still this date

Inastatus · 15/02/2021 17:21

Ah, thanks for the support folks 😊

Pomegranatespompom · 15/02/2021 17:24

He just said more to come next week, let’s not take out foot off the peddle yada yada
Someone just asking a school question now. Asking if a gap with opening other things after schools, Boris says he does not have ‘sufficient clarity’ today but hopes will be clearer on 22nd.

MarshaBradyo · 15/02/2021 17:24

Ignore that a poster on another thread making me stressed

He’s reiterated 22nd

I wish they would. I’ve reported so many recently, nothing happens.
Pomegranatespompom · 15/02/2021 17:27

Chris needs to be a Sir. He’s brilliant.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 15/02/2021 17:29

GrinChris has so much patience with Boris.

CornishYarg · 15/02/2021 17:31

I did my 2nd shift yesterday as a vaccine marshall, which really lifts my spirits. (Last week they fell pretty quickly as last Monday felt like a particularly gloomy news day, but they're holding up today!) It's just lovely interacting with people who, by and large, are cheerful!

I was volunteering at a small pharmacy in a medium sized town and yesterday they vaccinated almost 400 people. The pharmacists administering the jabs worked solidly for 12 hours other than a couple of half hour breaks. So impressive.

(I'm mostly a lurker on these threads but hopefully there's a corner of the picnic blanket spare....I make a mean sausage roll, if that helps?!)

DobbyTheHouseElk · 15/02/2021 17:33

Come and sit down Cornish...have a lindt ball.

Pomegranatespompom · 15/02/2021 17:33

@DobbyTheHouseElk we raised our heads about schools. Guessing this in back of that.

Really poor & strange.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 15/02/2021 17:35

Bloody hell. What’s going on? This is a lovely thread.

Some really nasty stuff around at the moment and they don’t get deleted.

CornishYarg · 15/02/2021 17:35

Ooh, I'd love one thanks!

Shock Sad

tobee · 15/02/2021 17:37

Grass snakes and monitor lizards can abound in picnic sites.

Inastatus · 15/02/2021 17:40

Only just realised that pomegranate’s post was also deleted 🙁

Pomegranatespompom · 15/02/2021 17:40

Exactly that - I’ve seen some really nasty posts and behaviour on other threads.

Abyway back to positive - 2nd doses to start early March.

Passes @CornishYarg a margarita

Inastatus · 15/02/2021 17:40

@tobee 😅

Pomegranatespompom · 15/02/2021 17:41

@Inastatus doesn’t make sense as it’s there for all to see on the actual thread 🙄

MarshaBradyo · 15/02/2021 17:42

I had one poster hound me for months when I pointed it out I was deleted. It was utterly ridiculous.

MarshaBradyo · 15/02/2021 17:43

Made me laugh at how silly it was.

BunsyGirl · 15/02/2021 17:46

Kent has gone green. I think that’s wonderful news considering Kent was the epicentre of the “U.K.” variant.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9262341/Coronavirus-UK-Study-finds-no-evidence-schools-drive-Covid-outbreaks.html

I thought this was reassuring. Schools really don't drive outbreaks - it's not just Boris and his uncaring chums trying to downplay issues and push everyone back to normality. They are just not a risk in terms of pushing up community transmission. Every little bit helps, right?
