Welcome to the new thread! I will copy over links from the previous thread soon.

Please note, this is a thread to share good news and for wobblers to be reassured. Doomploppers will be met with scorn and derision!

Can I hop on to this thread please? I am badly wobbling and stress level way too high. I posted on NI thread and got jumped on because I said I can’t cope with home schooling and wfh f/t until Easter, it’s impacting so badly on my health now. It’s basically sheer exhaustion I think, and anxiety, and is manifesting as sleeplessness, headaches, general aches and brain fog, low mood etc.

I know I’m lucky I have a job but I’m just not superwoman and I’m very low. I’m a LP so I come on MN as I’m lonely for some company but I think it’s probably making me worse reading those threads tbh. I found this thread and like the positivity on it.

God the follow the science lecture is annoying. I wish people would!

TJ17 · 18/02/2021 20:36

Hey hey hey everyone!

Now come on...you are reading the wrong threads! Don't let the "bar stewards" get you down! Let's not forget that a bunch of people on mumsnet don't get to decide about when lockdown ends or schools reopen etc (thankfully!)

Other than this thread, these type of threads are the only others you need! I actually laughed out loud at so many of these and I'm still reading...

To ask about the funniest sex thing that's ever happened to you http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/amiibeingunreasonable/4165556-to-ask-about-the-funniest-sex-thing-that-s-ever-happened-to-you

Also...it's Friday tomorrow! And with every day that passes we are another day closer to normality! 💪🏼

All these people who don’t want schools to re-open and want lockdown to go on for longer is one of those ‘it only happens on MN’ phenomenons I think. I don’t know one single person irl who thinks this way!

FuzzyPuffling · 18/02/2021 20:57

truely you got deleted! Naughty naughty girl!

Cheer up wobblers. This too will pass.

MarshaBradyo · 18/02/2021 20:58

No way we got deleted! I didn’t even say the profession

sittingpondering · 18/02/2021 21:01

Thank you @MarshaBradyo

Well DS is currently reading a book by choice which is a massive win here so that’s cheered me right up Smile

Treaclepie19 · 18/02/2021 21:08

I've given myself a shake and I'm feeling more positive.
Off to get myself another bunny to eat and catch up 😊

Welcome! Please come in and get comfortable Flowers Hoping this all passes soon and you’ll get to a happier place Smile
Pomegranatespompom · 18/02/2021 21:09

The moderating is very unfair.

I’m going to get a supply of those chocolate bunnies to last beyond Easter.

FuzzyPuffling · 18/02/2021 21:11

I give you my favourite poem. And soon we too will have something "utterly unlike the snow". Don't give up now positive people.

First Sight

Lambs that learn to walk in snow
When their bleating clouds the air
Meet a vast unwelcome, know
Nothing but a sunless glare.
Newly stumbling to and fro
All they find, outside the fold,
Is a wretched width of cold.

As they wait beside the ewe,
Her fleeces wetly caked, there lies
Hidden round them, waiting too,
Earth's immeasureable surprise.
They could not grasp it if they knew,
What so soon will wake and grow
Utterly unlike the snow.

Wherediditgo · 18/02/2021 21:12

Fuzzy that’s beautiful!

MarshaBradyo · 18/02/2021 21:13

Oh I love utterly unlike the snow

Beautiful and fitting

FuzzyPuffling · 18/02/2021 21:15

It's Philip Larkin. Most people only know him for the "they fuck you up, your mum and dad", but I think this is beautiful and applies to all sorts of situations!

HalfDutchGirl · 18/02/2021 21:26

@FuzzyPuffling thank you! I love that poem

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 18/02/2021 21:27

That confused me as didn't mention any other thread but apparently it is to do with this. The argument there is I have never accused or identified the poster or threads. Plus literally said I would report them to mumsnet if I had proof. However even suggest such things are a possibility apparently is not allowed. Well now I know😂

That will cheer me upGrin

Pomegranatespompom · 18/02/2021 21:32

How sad people are monitoring this thread so vigorously. Why would it bother.
Surely just avoid the thread.

MarshaBradyo · 18/02/2021 21:33

Incredible isn’t it

Well if mumsnet are doing their job properly they now need to check out the poster/posters that reported that!

Reckon that could be interesting Grin
