A continuation of the thread for those of us taking part in the Vaccine trial.
Never had a thread continue to part 2 before so quite excited.

Had injection 3 today - and have had absolutely no reaction at all. Not even a slightly sore arm. I asked how many were still in the trial at my hospital (Norwich) - 170 out of 500 which they were pleased about

My arm is now sore from todays jab! @anatomical im also a Norwich person, nice to meet one of the 170! :)

Blimey. Doesn’t sound great to me but pleased they are happy. And that you are not ill!

I am SO jealous of the key ring. I would even be happy with a sticker. Although I did get a ruler, so I shouldn't complain.

Oh ffs I don’t have a key ring! Am so cross about that! Am sure an actual mug was mooted at one point.

I want a keyring to. Although pharmaceuticals used to issue great pens . I'd love that.

Is the key ring the evidence you require to prove you’ve had a vaccine, instead of a vaccination card/certificate 😂🤣

In Bradford we’ve had a mug, a cloth bag, a pen and a certificate as well as the ruler and thermometer.
I’m going first thing today for my third jab and hoping this is the real thing as I want to feel that protection is strong in the face of restrictions easing.
Had no reactions or side effects at all after the first set. Will report back!

I have had nothing! I didn't even get a ruler! I got a thermometer when I went in for an extra check as I had covid symptoms, and that is only cos they used it on me and didn't want to keep it

I would like a certificate at the end!

Wow I thought the Bradford gifts would be mirrored everywhere - but they are Bradford specific so maybe just their idea.
Slight headache last night but I think that was due to stopping at pub after our walk ...
I had no side effects from original jab either so it may just be a low side effect drug.

Sounds good, personally I’d rather have two doses of the same stuff. Imagine they’ll have to recruit from young folk now.

No I’m wrong. Trial will find 50+ who have had either Az or Pfizer for first shot. And then half of those enrolled will get 2nd dose of same thing and the other half will get Moderna or novavax.

Very quiet here at Bradford 💉👀. They’ve lost around 300 people from the trial out of the original cohort of 700 or so. They’ve confirmed we’re getting a booster in October if we were in the vaccine arm on the first round.

Test result this morning: no covid.
Also not bag, mug, ruler, certificate, key ring or cuddly toy.

Great news. That suggests you’ll know at that point when you had it if not beforehand.

Arm hurts and had the worst headache last night, which has reappeared this morning - guess I had the real one yesterday then!

Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine wants volunteers aged over 50 for trials on the effect of having different vaccines for first and second jabs. The study's been expanded to include the new Moderna and Novavax vaccines. Volunteers need to have had just their first jab so far.

I had a really bad headache after 1st crossover last week. An American on a Novavax group said to take an anti histamine and I have to say it worked a treat.
