A continuation of the thread for those of us taking part in the Vaccine trial.
Never had a thread continue to part 2 before so quite excited.

@ItsSnowJokes it's the same at Stockport I just hadn't realised. I assumed there would at least have been another appt a few weeks / a month after the second jab.

Frazzled2207 · 10/04/2021 09:32

@Torvean

I was in nearly 2 hours this time. I would say everyone was 40s with maybe 1 in early 50s. I still have 2 more dates booked to go, the next for bloods and injection, Dr check etc. Then my next date i was told was for the last blood test.

So do ppl think they've guessed correctly when they got the vaccine?

Having had zero side effects with three jabs I still can’t hazard a guess

I think I've guessed correctly and had vaccine first time. It's been almost 24 hours and no side effects and my arm is not even a tiny bit sore, it was very sore for both jabs in the autumn. But perhaps that's just due to where they put the needle?

andadietcoke · 10/04/2021 12:22

I still think October. Nothing this time compared to aches in my shoulder and neck last time plus various other things after the second jab.

def possible to not be sore at all, I haven't been with any jabs so far. Which makes me wonder if I've had anything tbh! But yes in your case I'd be thinking more likely I had it in October.

I think I had it in October. By the evening if the 1st jab i began to get muscle ache in my arms and shoulders. The next day it had spread to my back and legs. I felt like I'd done a massive gymn workout. It lasted around 3 days. Exactly the same with the second one.

This time. I barely felt the needle and I had no other problems.

I'll be embarrassed when we find out if it's the opposite.

I thought the same. I would gamble a lot of money on me having had it in October but the placebo effect fascinates me.
Torvean · 11/04/2021 00:47

@andadietcoke, I'm also interested in it. But then all the morals and ethics come in.

Vargas · 11/04/2021 21:38

I had no side effects (other than sore arm) with first jab in October, but definitely fluey after second. I'll be gobsmacked if I've not had placebo this time. But I'm not willing to bet my house on it Wink.

MrsHamlet · 12/04/2021 13:58

I'm not pregnant... who knew?!
I've been here an hour and I'm waiting for 30 minutes to make sure I don't keel over.

Bearsbearsbears40 · 12/04/2021 14:05

I’m off for my first crossover appt in a minute. It’s strange to think that today is the first day I’ve definitely had a vaccine dose (although I too think I had the vaccine in November). I will probably remember today’s date as the more certain one.

MrsHamlet · 12/04/2021 14:06

I got some new swabs... very exciting! Nasty metallic taste again.

Torvean · 13/04/2021 02:13

Did you get your swab results?

The nurse in the recovery bit filled it all in so I just had to post it. I forgot to photograph the tracking number. Still no results. Posted it last Wednesday.

MrsHamlet · 13/04/2021 08:36

I only posted mine yesterday so I'm expecting it to take at least until
Monday. No reaction at all apart from the metallic taste, which is the same as the first one last time.

Cooroo · 13/04/2021 08:47

Off to Bradford this morning for crossover jab! It will be nice to have a sort of certainty!
I was sure I had the placebo before, so hoping for mild but obvious symptoms this time round.

Cooroo · 13/04/2021 11:40

Definitely felt that jab for 5 minutes...

Frazzled2207 · 13/04/2021 13:06

Hope you’re ok now @Cooroo?
I’m now looking forward to fourth and final jab next week. Still none the wiser.

OP posts:
Vargas · 13/04/2021 13:41

Torvean - I got my results in 48 hours. Have you had a result yet?

Hope you feel ok Cooroo.

The doc and I had a bit of a stand off over pregnancy testing. I told him my medical history and he was still pretty adamant so I did a quick reverse psychology and said 'FINE, if you really insist' and then he backed down Grin. It would be a headline making miracle if I was pregnant!

Cooroo · 13/04/2021 14:43

Absolutely fine. Could do with more symptoms! But I got a nice souvenir key ring.
MrsHamlet · 13/04/2021 14:45

A key ring??? I want a key ring!

Dreamer1989 · 13/04/2021 15:15

Just had my third jab, arm is sore but I cant remember if it was sore the last time! Did have to have an ECG as my heartrate was 114.

Vargas · 13/04/2021 15:49

I am SO jealous of the key ring. I would even be happy with a sticker. Although I did get a ruler, so I shouldn't complain. Grin

Easeljeasel · 13/04/2021 17:50

Omg a keyring?! I’m going to refuse to leave next time unless in possession of a downright KEYRING!!! StarGrin

BG2015 · 13/04/2021 18:42

Never understood what the ruler was for Hmm

Anatomical · 13/04/2021 18:45
