K not L!

FourTeaFallOut · 30/01/2021 16:04

490k?! That's amazing.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 30/01/2021 16:07

Last Saturday 33,552 new cases and 1,348 new deaths

Today 23,285 new cases and 1200 new deaths.

FourTeaFallOut · 30/01/2021 16:08

And the new hospital admissions are down too.

FuzzyPuffling · 30/01/2021 16:11

It's moving in the right direction isn't it?
Now, if only it would stop raining...!

Place marking

Shehz21 · 30/01/2021 16:19

Hello everyone! Checking in!

BessMarvin · 30/01/2021 16:26

@louisejxxx

Same here re: January - I was elated earlier when I remembered February is a shorter month! Smile
I am stupidly pleased that it's not a leap year Grin
OrangeBananaFish · 30/01/2021 16:28

Same feelings regarding January. I hate it too in the best of years and always look forward to March. This year I'm looking forward to March more than normal, but I've got nothing else to look forward to.

Some really good figures today. Obviously cases and deaths are still too high, but they are going in the right direction.

Glenchase · 30/01/2021 16:30

My neighbour age 55 has been vaccinated and so has her mum age 75. She’s severely mentally disabled and hasn’t been able to leave her home for the past year. Fingers crossed she can be taken out some time soon.

TeaInTheGarden · 30/01/2021 16:31

It’s my son’s birthday tomorrow so double celebration as we will be celebrating the end of January as well as his birthday! 😆

littleowl1 · 30/01/2021 16:31

The table detailing latest daily cases and rate per 100k in each council in England is updated with today's data release on the www.covidmessenger.com homepage.

Utterly fantastic news to see that we have 305 "green" councils (falling cases week over week) and just 10 red councils (rising cases).

That is a 2021 record. Whoop whoop!!!!

And if you scan through the table, the scale of the drops in councils continues to be dramatic.

The councils that had astonishingly high cases early Jan just keep posting astonishingly dramatic falls.

Absolutely brilliant.

Ifyourefeelingsinister · 30/01/2021 16:34

Checking in - thanks so much for everyone's good news updates.

Its crazy how quickly some areas are dropping. Tendring has an almost 50% decrease on last week, fully expecting it to slow down now, but seems almost unbelievable and dropping almost as quickly as it went up

@WednesdayalltheWay. Goggle NHS book a covid vaccine. You just need their nhs number which is on repeat prescriptions or hospital letters and their date of birth. I keep trying for my DH but it says he isn’t eligible yet. So worth a try.

louisejxxx · 30/01/2021 16:51

I think it must be time for the 10 million vaccine sweepstake?! I’m going to go all in and say Wednesday afternoon Grin

Monkeytennis97 · 30/01/2021 16:59

@louisejxxx I agree with you about the 10m on Wednesday Smile

Level75 · 30/01/2021 17:01

Gove says EU are not going to block and vaccines to us as that we're looking to "reset" the relationship. Everything remains on track.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 30/01/2021 17:13

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 30/01/2021 17:22

Loving hearing about all the jabs happened all the appointments booked❤

I agree can't wait for January to be over😕

Figures today are looking good. So much promise for February.

TeaInTheGarden · 30/01/2021 17:24

10 million by Wednesday would be awesome. Please 🙏🏻

EekThreek · 30/01/2021 17:25

New thread!

@TeaInTheGarden it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow too. I can't decide which has been longer, this January, or the one where I was waiting to give birth. At least I could waddle go places that year...

WednesdayalltheWay · 30/01/2021 17:34

Thanks folks Smile I will send them the link ( I have the link).
