I've had a wobble today. 7 month old gone back to not sleeping, 11year old at home trying to homeschool with PPT's that don't work properly, me doing baby signing classes on Zoom when I miss the real thing so much.

This thread has cheered me right up. And hopefully, I'll be vaccinating people soon as my character references were requested (and completed today)

2.6m doses to 2.3m people. More than the whole of the rest of Europe put together!

What does the 'died within 28 days of a positive Covid test' actually mean? Does it really mean someone could be hit by a bus and die from that but they'll be listed under that number if they had a positive test 27 days ago?

FuzzyPuffling · 11/01/2021 17:12

Talking priorities now...

Top 4 cohorts by 15th Feb.
2/5 of over 80-s have now had vaccines.
1/4 care home residents have now had vaccines.

thatgingergirl · 11/01/2021 17:19

That's fantastic!

My mum and dad are being "done" on Wednesday Smile

FuzzyPuffling · 11/01/2021 17:23

Hurrah he mentioned the over 60s and not lifting restrictions until they'd been done too, whilst watching hospitalisation numbers.

@TheChineseChicken

I thought he was giving yesterdays actual figures (as in people who tested postive yesterday)
beachdays123 · 11/01/2021 17:28

210,000 doses a day on average, not factoring in the new mass vaccination centres - excellent!

tootyfruitypickle · 11/01/2021 17:28

2 million a day? Or a week? Sorry am watching on catch up

2 million a day or a week? I would be quite happy with either tbh!
FuzzyPuffling · 11/01/2021 17:29

Twallocky questions from the press now. What a waste of question time!

Thanks for the summary everyone. I find those press conferences really anxiety inducing so really appreciate the summary.

MorrisZapp · 11/01/2021 17:32

Yay! New thread!

FuzzyPuffling · 11/01/2021 17:33

I wish people (the press) would move on from the "Two Women and a Coffee" incident. Bored of that now. Just stick to the rules. If you're not sure..DON'T DO IT!!!

I was wrong, apparently it is 46k cases being reported today! Which is way down on previous days. If you compare to last Monday its still way down.

Let's hope there's not a backlog about to be found down the back of the sofa!
