He has form for copying whatever Sturgeon does so I suspect it will be a full lockdown. Probably word it as ‘all going into tier 4’ rather than lockdown, maybe even make up a tier 5. No idea if he will close schools like Sturgeon though, he does seem hellbent against it. Seems daft to send them back for one day then close them, makes no sense really.

Can I just say that everyone in healthcare professions predicted this months ago. In April we were all saying October would be a huge turn for the worse, then January after Christmas, relaxation of rules or no relaxation of rules. It was shouted from the rooftops, the government heard us. They KNEW this would happen.

Probably going for his own duff duff since it's at 8...

Hopefully then following with some guidance on what happens with this summer's exams. My Y11 DD is due to start her GCSE mocks on Monday (already pushed back from Thursday to allow more time for the mass Covid testing. Presume if all schools closed, that programme stops too. Poor, poor teachers, planning and re-planning at the drop of a hat).

I think he’ll give a full and honest account of his failings; admit that the current shit show wasn’t inevitable and could have been negated if he’d spent the summer planning and preparing for winter; and then his resignation.

He will be frantically scribbling in crayon as we speak. How many times can he say incredibly in one statement?

BBC says any changes need to go before a recalled parliament on Wednesday, so things might not happen until start of Thursday anyway.

Need to allow a couple of days for everyone to do some last minute panic buying and mingling before being confined to barracks for the next few weeks.
