willsantausesantatize · 16/12/2020 14:39

Christmas confusion! Made me laugh.
As if this year hasn't been bad enough .. Now it's trying to sort out which bubble your in.

RedToothBrush · 16/12/2020 14:45

Johnson is doing a press conference, well that will help and get rid of all the confusion...

Hmm

So it'll be as clear as mud by the time he's finished babbling then.

Easiest way to clear up Christmas is to carry on as you are, then there is no confusion.

Loopyloui · 16/12/2020 14:57

I am done just fallen off the very small ledge I was hanging on

willsantausesantatize · 16/12/2020 14:58

Which bubble will Boris be in?
He has a few children to get round.

I'm in my own one this year : just 4 of us and a bottle of baileys ( wiped down with anti viral cleaner first)

MrsFrisbyMouse · 16/12/2020 15:04

Ha ha ha. And maybe he is going to tell us that Father Christmas is real, and pigs really do fly.

PhilCornwall1 · 16/12/2020 15:06

@MrsFrisbyMouse

Ha ha ha. And maybe he is going to tell us that Father Christmas is real, and pigs really do fly.
😮 he is and they do!!!
willsantausesantatize · 16/12/2020 15:12

It's all such a waste of time isn't it?
Telling people ' you can't do this and that' it'll be a Red rag to a bull with some folk. Makes them determined to do it even more ! They will still do what they like.
I despair at it all and Nicola Sturgeon and Mark Drakeford just wait around to amend things in order to score points. More levels for them.
It's also saying ' guidance ' which means nothing really if you think about it too much.

Mousehole10 · 16/12/2020 15:14

The rules aren’t changing but they are strengthening the guidance apparently

DuncinToffee · 16/12/2020 15:16

Clear up confusion?

Like this
After BorisJohnson's PMQs line that the public should “avoid contact with elderly people wherever possible" at Christmas, his spokesman was asked repeatedly to define 'elderly'.

The spokesman replied: "You have the prime minister's language."

Greentrianglequalitystreet · 16/12/2020 15:18

When are they updating the tiers? I thought that was today but can’t find anything on it.

picklemewalnuts · 16/12/2020 15:18

It's confusing. Especially if you have a Welsh relative who lives alone and is coming to stay in a tier 3 area. We see no one else. It makes no sense to go all that way to get her, and only have her 5 days. So I'm getting her early and keeping her late. We won't be mixing with anyone else.

willsantausesantatize · 16/12/2020 15:22

The welsh are being really strict. New restrictions for them from the 28th :(
Boris wants people to be ' sensible' this
From a man who isn't.
I hope people do stick to the rules ( or guidance) but I suppose many won't.

RedToothBrush · 16/12/2020 15:29

@MrsFrisbyMouse

Ha ha ha. And maybe he is going to tell us that Father Christmas is real, and pigs really do fly.
Say what?! He is real.

And its reindeer that fly.

halcyondays · 16/12/2020 15:31

People still watch Boris?

I don’t think Wales are being really strict, their hospitals are in a bad way. If anything Wales and NI should really be going into lockdown now. NI hospitals had 104% occupancy yesterday with patients being treated in ambulances and corridors. Today it’s 105%.

Keep1984fiction · 16/12/2020 15:33

So can the shops in Wales open on 26th and 27th December before the new lockdown.

willsantausesantatize · 16/12/2020 15:37

I have read another thread about wales. It's bad isn't it?
I had no idea.

Hayeahnobut · 16/12/2020 15:38

@picklemewalnuts That sounds like a normal support bubble arrangement, so fine to do at any time.

This briefing is to start the blame shifting. When the rates go up even further, they'll blame us, for following the rules.

Nicola Sturgeon and Mark Drakeford just wait around to amend things in order to score points.

They've generally made decisions ahead of Westminster.

PurpleDaisies · 16/12/2020 15:39

Starting now

willsantausesantatize · 16/12/2020 15:40

I really had no idea how bad it was I'm wales. I take my point scoring statement back.

MichelleofzeResistance · 16/12/2020 15:42

It's dire in Wales where we are. The hospitals are full.

massistar · 16/12/2020 15:43

It's pretty scary here in Wales at the mo. Looks like all non-essential shops closing after Christmas Eve. :-(
