Sooner than expected! Wondering what he will say...

This is waffly... get to the point please

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 31/10/2020 18:53

We lose the edges of the slides, and the rolling headlines cover the bottom of them

SheepandCow · 31/10/2020 18:54

Looks like a rise in the 45+ age group in hospital. Worrying. Remember that age group is a sizeable proportion of the workforce. Many will still have young children at that age too.

I hope they extend the flu jab to the 45-50 age group.

lyralalala · 31/10/2020 18:54

@RichardMarxisinnocent

They won't scrap support bubbles - partly because they know people will ignore it, but mostly because they don't have services or SS capacity to do the care for people who'd need it.

But support bubbles are nothing to do with caring for people, they are to allow single adult households to have contact with another adult(s). I have a support bubble, but I don't need care or help or anything from SS.

They also include a lot of people who do caring tasks that would still need done.

They won't scrap support bubbles. It would be too complicated to have caring bubbles, childcare bubbles and support bubbles with different rules.

Could this announcement be any more of a fuck up?
TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 31/10/2020 18:56

I'm not sure of the point of the slides tbh. The bits that are on screen are so small I can't read them anyway.

lyralalala · 31/10/2020 18:56
@lyralalala oh good. I hope that's the case, although my brother has a way of making my mum belive he needs the support more than I do. I'll just continue committing fraud and when I'm PM I'll make them suffer Wink
None of the reporting anywhere has mentioned scrapping support bubbles.

There's just no way they'll do it. They'd have to include too many non-conformists in their modelling for a start.

KilljoysDutch · 31/10/2020 18:57

Sky news live on Youtube doesn't have the edges cut off if that helps anyone.

sluj · 31/10/2020 18:57

I'd like to see all the slides and less rolling BBC news headlines Angry

Lougle · 31/10/2020 18:59

But those models should surely take into account that there is a winter peak every year? I used to work in ICU and in the winter we were often at 80-85% capacity anyway.

Mrsemcgregor

Philip Schofield came out quicker than this

StayAlertIndoorz · 31/10/2020 19:01

Useless BBC coverage (not that I actually understand the slides anyway but being able to see them properly would be a start)

I'm 57 and can't get a flu jab. My husband is 63 and he is only getting one because he has had cancer and has one kidney.
DuncinToffee · 31/10/2020 19:02

Stop eaffling, get to the point!

Lougle · 31/10/2020 19:03

The more he apologises, the worse it sounds. Just tell us what's going on Sad

AmyFl · 31/10/2020 19:03

He keeps saying "alas"

chomalungma · 31/10/2020 19:03

Humble.

He can fuck off.
He had the chance and threw it away.

He was warned.

Bathroom12345 · 31/10/2020 19:04

They will lose people with this. The slides are too complex. Until the can work out who actually passed away from CV19 as opposed to be say being 85 passing away and testing positive within the last 28 days we are still guessing.

It’s all about protecting the NHS yet again. My DS’s girlfriend is a nurse. She says she is busy but always is at this time of year.

I fear we are going to get ourselves horribly mixed up with flu deaths, cv19 deaths etc.

So, if you died in a car crash and tested positive surely surely your death cannot be attributable to CV19??

QueenPaws · 31/10/2020 19:04

We get it Boris, it's shit, can you get to the point now?

chomalungma · 31/10/2020 19:04

All his back bench MPs were warned.
And they just laughed it off.

TiersOfAClown · 31/10/2020 19:04

So, if you died in a car crash and tested positive surely surely your death cannot be attributable to CV19??

But it would be. Assuming the events happened the other way round Grin

chomalungma · 31/10/2020 19:05

I hope he gets asked some very very very hard questions.

skipperjonce · 31/10/2020 19:05

Gtf on with it!

TW2013 · 31/10/2020 19:06

He is looking a bit trimmer. So that's what he's been doing all this time.

Bathroom12345 · 31/10/2020 19:07

How many people are dying of CV19 and are over the age of 80? I speak as someone who has two elderly parents who I know being their Power of Attorney have express wishes should they find themselves in hospital and having to make a choice
