I assume children would be exempt as it will be the same in every country and not allowing children to travel would severely limit the tourist industry everywhere

TeaInTheGarden · 30/11/2020 22:52

Yes true, assuming no country is vaccinating kids they would have to let them be exempt and travel.

On another note- has anyone heard anything about how long it is likely to take to decide if the oxford vaccine will be approved? I really feel that while the others will help, this vaccine could change everything. Waiting nervously for news!!

tobee · 01/12/2020 00:08

Saw this on itv news app just now; more on Moderna efficacy:-

Moderna Covid-19 vaccine may offer 100% protection against severe cases https://www.itv.com/news/2020-11-30/moderna-covid-19-vaccine-may-offer-100-protection-against-severe-cases?utmsource=NewsApp&utmm_medium=SocialShare

Mumof3andlovingit · 01/12/2020 22:48

Oh wow really? Thought they were saying mid to late December.
tobee · 01/12/2020 23:41

Got confused now as to whether the European decision is different to U.K.? Are we still EU for this purpose?

rubbishatballet · 02/12/2020 00:07

It's been confirmed that our trust is getting the first delivery of vaccine on Monday and we're going to start vaccinating (staff) on Tuesday.

TeaInTheGarden · 02/12/2020 00:14

@BlueBlancmange that’s what this guy was saying he’s heard, but it’s still speculation of course. Fingers crossed though!!

tobee · 02/12/2020 02:23

Oh I knew I'd forgotten to post something I'd seen. Here it is; hopefully help coming for sufferers of long Covid:-

Where did you see this? Fantastic if so!
MarshaBradyo · 02/12/2020 07:07

The UK has become the first western country to license a vaccine against Covid, opening the way for mass immunisation with the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to begin in those most at risk.

Incredible. So good.

Just came on to see if this had been shared yet..... fantastic news, not just for this vaccine but because if Emergancy approval can be given in that time frame then hopefully the other two have a good chance of getting approved quickly too.

I know the roll out will take a good few months but i'm allowing myself to hope that this is the beginning of the end.

Deliaskis · 02/12/2020 07:23

So pleased re quick approval of Pfizer vaccine. Next week.... next week, we start to give this thing a run for its money.

TheChineseChicken · 02/12/2020 07:23
