If anyone has an MSE account (I don't though think I might make one just for this dickhead), there is a brilliant thread on there from a guy who is apparently a shareholder that thinks everything is just wonderful in Ocado land.

Someone has told him it's really not...

I had a smart pass sale email, clicked on it and went into a 2 minute queue. Assumed it was because of the email.

As it happened it would only load half the sale anyway so I gave up. Brilliant as ever.

I love Ocado but really don’t understand why they are encouraging people to log on for flash sales when there are loads of smart pass customers not able to book deliveries

Anyone else get the piss taking sale email? Be nice if I could get a weekly slot, having been with you over 10 years and paying for an anytime smart pass. I’m keeping my pass, as I’m using them to shop for my housebound neighbour, but I’m doing my shop at Waitrose. Smart pass sale? It’s like Selfridges opening their doors at sale time, but telling everybody they can’t buy anything. Ocado are such a shit company.

The sales are always terrible so you’ve not missed anything.

My order today had three missing things (caster sugar, chicken, Mayo) and 3 damaged items. I spent about 1/3 of what I normally spend and went to a supermarket this afternoon to buy fresh stuff and all the items I wanted to order that were out of stock.

I have no idea what's going on with my allocation any more.

I used to be able to be able to book 3 weeks in advance - until last Friday, when my next slot didn't open up as usual. I've checked it every day since then - nothing. Today (one week on), I can now see it. "Fine," I thought, "I'm clearly on 2 weeks in advance now instead". Except that the following week was also available! So am I back on 3 weeks? I have no idea!

Is anyone else still barred from using the Ocado app? A friend of mine had her app restored weeks ago yet I'm still directed to the website.

I've tried deleting and reinstalling but that didn't help.

@Krook I still can't use the app. The infuriating thing is whilst I'm doing a shop or editing an order a banner comes up on my phone to open the app but it doesn't work. Not sure if the banner is generated from their website or my phone.

DH has pointed out that the first date is within lockdown and the second one isn't. So maybe it's 3 weeks in advance under normal circumstances, reduced to 2 weeks in advance under lockdown.

@PowerslidePanda I've just checked and I can see the same on my account too. No idea what's going on. My £12 meal deal for two didn't go through again this week. Spoke via chat yesterday and they said they'd refund the difference but email only confirmed £1 refund and it should have been £7.50. Just spoken again via chat to get it sorted out.

I’ve got my first ever Waitrose delivery next week (and one a week booked up until Christmas week - further ahead than Ocado will let me go).

It’s a shame my local Waitrose is small so I can’t get a full shop from them.

Me neither! I was on 3 weeks for ages, then was down to 2 weeks for 2 weeks and from today am up to 4 weeks!

I deleted the app in a fit of pique a few weeks ago. Not tried it since. I figured if I wasn't deemed worth enough to use it then they could fuck of if I was keeping it on my phone and potentially supplying them with my info.

Its so strange how smart pass holders are having such different experiences. I've had the app for ages now and can book 4 weeks in advance. I've also had 3 Tony's chocoloneys and have now just got a free tin of M&S shortbread which I'm ridiculously excited about Grin

No shortbread for me, just checked. I've had one bar of Tony's though a few weeks ago.

How did you get the free shortbread? I had an email saying I could, and to add it at checkout, but there wasn't an option to do so.

This happened before with the Percy pigs and it wasn't coming up in the app but was on the website.
