Yep knew it would end up happening- we are so slow with everything

BruceAndNosh · 11/05/2020 14:12

Wondered when they'd finally do it.

Who has said this?

BruceAndNosh · 11/05/2020 14:13

At least it's not gloves.
Pretty hard to make your own glovers from an old t shirt

Breaking news on BBC from official MegaDocument

JamieLeeCurtains · 11/05/2020 14:16

The Government has said in in The Document.

Johnson forgot to say it last night when telling people to go back to work on overcrowded tubes.

Frequency · 11/05/2020 14:16

Are they providing them? Also for anyone who hasn't tried functioning as a normal adult wearing one after a few minutes they're really uncomfortable.

I despise them. We have to wear them for work and you end up dropping in sweat after 15 minutes.

resipsa · 11/05/2020 14:18

Why does the accompanying photo show a space which is not enclosed? The media are not helping with the clarity of the message!

caoixr · 11/05/2020 14:18

Finally some sense!!! It’s taken them long enough. Just copy the successful countries and we’ll be much better off.

Utterlydespairing · 11/05/2020 14:18

I won’t be wearing them

marlboroughlemon · 11/05/2020 14:18

What a surprise …. ages after most countries …. and having told us repeatedly they did nothing

PicsInRed · 11/05/2020 14:19

No ta.

resipsa · 11/05/2020 14:20

I looked at the BBC not the Guardian link by the way!

P0lka · 11/05/2020 14:20

It advises to wear them in enclosed spaces, but does not require or mandate it.

I will consider wearing one during my weekly supermarket shop, but not during exercise

BlackberryCane · 11/05/2020 14:21

Anyone got a link to Mega Document?

squashyhat · 11/05/2020 14:22

So where do we get them from?

HoneyBee03 · 11/05/2020 14:22

As it's only advised I really hope that supermarkets don't decide to make up their own rules and decide not to let you in without one.

KnobwithaK · 11/05/2020 14:23

Ah, found it now, thanks.

Here you go @BlackberryCane

PurpleDaisies · 11/05/2020 14:24

It only says in certain circumstances-eg public transport or some shops where social distancing isn’t possible.

meow1989 · 11/05/2020 14:25

So where exactly are we supposed to source them from then? Given that the NHS is struggling to get them.

Frequency · 11/05/2020 14:25

But where are they coming from? I work in a care home and we are back down to one mask per 12 hour shift as we're running out. The public trying to get hold of them en masse won't help our situation.

AlecTrevelyan006 · 11/05/2020 14:26

It's a no from me

HoneyBee03 · 11/05/2020 14:27

Ah yes. Thanks @PurpleDaisies, it looks like it's more aimed at those who might be getting on a crowded train or going to a busy place, rather than the supermarket.

BruceAndNosh · 11/05/2020 14:27

Thanks for the direct link @KnobwithaK.
I couldn't find it on YouGov and was relying on Beeb for summary
