Accidentally released

IHateCoronavirus · 04/05/2020 20:05

Accidentally released

ClaraEccles · 04/05/2020 20:05

Not sure, but either way doesn’t cover China in glory...

Nameofchanges · 04/05/2020 20:05

Possibly neither.

SunbathingDragon · 04/05/2020 20:06

Lab.

MrsApplepants · 04/05/2020 20:06

I don’t really know, but either way, wet markets are abhorrent.

CricketCrocket · 04/05/2020 20:06

I’m not normally one to don a tin foil hat but I do think it was accidentally released.

ElectricTonight · 04/05/2020 20:07

Released.

midnightstar66 · 04/05/2020 20:08

I'm not sure, one or the other I suppose. I wonder if we'll ever know?!

Bigfishylittlefishy · 04/05/2020 20:08

Accidentally released, what a monumental fuck up!! Thanks China.

PicsInRed · 04/05/2020 20:08

Either accidentally released or individual nut case released. But released.

The wet market story was baloney from the start.

SpnBaby1967 · 04/05/2020 20:09

It seems awfully coincidental that wuhan starts the virus, whilst also acknowledging that they have a lab who is researching the virus.

But scientists who have studied it outside of china do say it shows it's clearly from an animal so 🤷‍♀️

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 04/05/2020 20:09

Either accidentally or deliberately released from the lab in Wuhan. Seems beyond too coincidental that the wet market is only 10miles away and this has come from a bat....like the lab was working on! Also some of the first cases had no link to the wet market, which also puts a question mark around the market being the source.

Amber0685 · 04/05/2020 20:09

Accidently released.

HappyHammy · 04/05/2020 20:09

Lab

Amber0685 · 04/05/2020 20:10

Also I don't think they have bats or did at the wet market in Wuham.

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 04/05/2020 20:10

@PicsInRed I thought possibly a nutter too...an act of terror essentially.

midnightstar66 · 04/05/2020 20:10

The wet market story was baloney from the start.

If it was released it was likely gathered from there in the first place to be studied. The one certainty is that they are totally unsanitary.

ALovelyBitOfSquirrel · 04/05/2020 20:10

Accidentally released but from an animal originally.

katienana · 04/05/2020 20:11

Wet market

Bluewavescrashing · 04/05/2020 20:13

Lab.

Someone who had watched Contagion fudged the bat wet market story.

HadEnoughOfMichaelBolton · 04/05/2020 20:13

A wet market is just a supermarket in China and East Asia. You need to protest against live animal markets. Protesting against wet markets is much like protesting against a supermarket like Asda or Sainsbury's in the UK.

rosiepony · 04/05/2020 20:13

Lab

PicsInRed · 04/05/2020 20:13

Remember back when we were called "crazy" for suggesting the lab with horrible safety standards that just happened to be right there experimenting on the same virus that comes from bats which live 1000 miles away?

Ah memories.

CricketCrocket · 04/05/2020 20:14

I’m not sure how reliable the source is but early on in the pandemic I read online that a worker at the lab had to report an incident because they for blood on them from a bat or maybe bitten? Sorry, I’ve had wine.

Also, there’s photos online of the broken fridge seals and workers with little to none PPE working there.
