Right taking a breather while getting over working on the allotment for the weekend. Kill count low unless you include slugs. I was pleased to see one of my fellow plotters having a socially distanced meet up with family. I am sure I am supposed to report them to the allotment committee or something but I just enjoyed hearing the chatter.

Just had the same conversation with my nosey aunt

She said the road in the city centre we live in was packed on Friday. All because thousands of peolle wanted to go to Costa. She sent photos. It was 5.20pm.

I pointed out its not as busy as it was 10 weeks ago at that time and most of them will be back working and coming. Not, infact going to Costa.

She is convinced the cit was brought to stands by peolle queuing 4 hours for a Costa. I know they had big queues. But she genuinely believes that's why everyone was out and she was the only one coming home from work 🤷‍♀️

Tbh my aunt has never been educationally intelligent. Pretty much always said horrifically stupid things. But never with hate. Just really thick. It took 40 mins to explain that after the year 1999 came 2000. Not 1920. Dont think she quite believed us, even then.

But I think she has always been a bit resentful of people. But She changed when she joined the NHS. It was the first time she had a career rather than a job. I suspect that's what she always wanted but usually got written off because she plays up to her 'I am bit thick routine. She has worked in several different departments. When she work in cahms she decided she knew more about ds hfa diagnosis than I, or his specialists, knew.

As soon as this started, she started posting on social media in a way that made people think she was a nurse working the covid wards. And is escalated from there.

I love her. She is much younger than mum and the other sisters and we have always been like sisters. She has supported me so many times. I am a little bit devastated I may lose her during this. Not to covid, but because she is becoming so bitter, angry and self righteous.

Peggy don't worry too much, odds are she will go back to normal eventually. This is her moment to shine and it'll end. Just "smile and wave" Madagascar style and wait for it to pass... like really bad shits.

Depending on the situation , I'd send her a message to remind her that this won't last forever and she is alienating family and friends.
