OverTheRainbowLiesOz · 29/04/2020 23:55

I'm not looking forward to seeing my dentist after the overload of cough sweets and honey!

LetsBeSensible · 29/04/2020 23:56

Hi all just butting in to let you know that there is a school of thought that many sore throats are caused by reflux -acid hitting the throat. Worth a google if you are interested in reading more.
My sore throat has massively improved since I started the prescription strength treatment for oral thrush.

isitorisntit · 29/04/2020 23:57

@pinkoneblueone I had the numbness start on Mon, after 4 days of feeling hugely better. No lung pain for 4 days the out on my gentle walk, my deep leg muscles felt numb, gums, lips, finger tips... And chest burn again.

OverTheRainbowLiesOz · 30/04/2020 00:01

Thanks. What treatment did you use?

alittleprivacy · 30/04/2020 00:21

So I found this Korean article about recovery times being witnessed in Korea. In Korea they are taking this very seriously. Every single one of us plus everyone we had come in contact with would have been tested. After testing positive, we would have been moved to a treatment centre for people with mild cases to be quarantined, monitored and given medication as needed. They have so far found that 37% of mild cases take at least 4 weeks to recover enough to be sent home. That even after antibodies are produced the virus still takes time to recede.

pinkoneblueone · 30/04/2020 00:51

@isitorisntit what day are you on I am just onto 53/54

pinkoneblueone · 30/04/2020 00:55

@alittleprivacy wouldn't it be nice if our government treated it as seriously? This is bloody awful.

emoojoo · 30/04/2020 01:41

Day 39 ish here. Have had temp of 38 again tonight and more GI Issues. I'm hoping to get results back from stool sample and bloods in the next few days. Can't sleep at night which is getting me down

pinkoneblueone · 30/04/2020 01:53

I have given up trying to get to sleep at a specific bed time and stay up until I am tired so I can fall asleep naturally. I sit and watch comedies, gogglebox is a firm fave for us. Someone told me the body will sleep when it needs it and it has taken a lot of pressure of me and made me hate nights less.

whynotchangemore · 30/04/2020 04:34

@pinkoneblueone that's good advice, I've been the same until recently up until silly hours then so exhausted I sleep. But I found like tonight I go to sleep at 1am and then wide awake again at 5am 🙈

emoojoo · 30/04/2020 05:09

Thank you @pinkoneblueone I'll try that. I've not slept at all this night Sadwill speak to go this am. Hope you are doing ok Thanks

TheDrsWife46 · 30/04/2020 05:24

@whynotchange

TheDrsWife46 · 30/04/2020 05:29

Ive had to tag you because the app keeps changing my tag to @whynotchangemore and deletes all my post so im trying both to get round it.

Ive had the bladder issue a lot and its what caused doctors to consider that i may have guillian barre. I cant feel when i need a wee, and if i do wee i have the urge to go again when i dont need to although it doesnt burn or sting. I had a bladder scan in hospital, and was antibiotics at the time and the dip tests came back fine. But i still have urge issues.

Last night i had a massive panic attack when my dd2 (8yrs) said she felt poorly and said “i keep needing the toilet even when i’ve been” and i know she hasnt got a water infection anymore than i have.

No-one at the hospital would listen because the dip tests and bladder scan were fine but when my 8yr old complains of the same thing, im worried.

toothfairy73 · 30/04/2020 05:33

@whynotchange that sounds terrifying. So relieved you survived hospital. My sore throat has been coming and going. It was back last night and gone now. My heart burn is worse than it's been and I have had moments where I have felt like I had loads of trapped air, kept burping just felt so much trapped air and it was really uncomfortable.

Egghead68 · 30/04/2020 06:22

@whynotchange that sounds horrendous. I wouldn’t trust the tests. I think they miss around 30% of cases don’t they? I hope you feel better soon.

Egghead68 · 30/04/2020 06:26

Day 40/41. My throat is very sore and I have a lot of sinus pain in my face. I honestly thought I’d beaten this a few days ago Sad

Thanks for the article @alittleprivacy.

Meercatmama · 30/04/2020 06:49

Hi
All day yesterday had the breathlessness and pains moving to different areas of my lungs plus headache and really cold feet. Just before I went to bed to bed feet warmed up, breathlessness improved and was able to breath without feeling I was missing a breath. Within an hour felt really warm on and off but slept well and woke up with just the cough and a small amount of back pain and the muzzy head. It does feel like my tonsils are a bit inflamed. But I will take this over yesterday.

TheDrsWife46 · 30/04/2020 06:56

Morning everyone. I had my first bad night in over ten days. I think I had a lot of anxiety as my dd2 was starting to have symptoms yesterday and Im just so exhausted and upset to remain logical and pragmatic to see it in her. Woke through the night but when my heart rate went from 74 to 96 bmp within minutes it woke me fully at 4am.

Ive lost track of my days. I always promise myself that im going to go back over the threads and create a proper timeline to give the doctor. Maybe today is the day to do that from my bed.

TheDrsWife46 · 30/04/2020 06:57

39 days. Thats still relatively early! Ive been on her forever and im still not past the 40+ mark.

Depressing.

whynotchangemore · 30/04/2020 07:43

@TheDrsWife46 sorry my fault! I decided to do a name change as I have a fair bit of info and know a few people on here, also been having a good old moan about my DH Grin

Ok so bladders, and you? That's so interesting, do you normally have any bladder issues. I'm taking a wee sample to my GP will be the 4th time in 2 months.

So did you have the virus?

whynotchangemore · 30/04/2020 07:50

@toothfairy73 I really do feel your pain, I found rennie helped during the day, gavisgon at night just before bed and I literally just ate tiny portions of porridge, bananas and drank herbal teas all day, so much fluid, warm drinks and bland food.

Avoid inflammatory foods.

I also googled yoga for bloating and gas and found one move where you lie on your back and crunch your legs up and peddle them, I'm not a yoga person but it really helped, I did that day and night.

It eventually went took about two weeks in total and I still get odd flares and have to shift my position.

Oh and final gross top tip.. I can't fart normally I'm so rubbish, I've never been fatty - so on the toilet I can, but I find in the bath my body relaxes.

Crayfishforyou · 30/04/2020 08:22

Good morning everyone.
Day 31
I would like to announce that I have achieved some sleep.
I propped myself up with pillows higher than usual.
I've also started taking CBD oil. It tastes like a student has been to amsterdam and now has a new hobby in the airing cupboard, but i think it does help. I have felt calmer yesterday and I think it was what helped me sleep.
During diaroalyte, i think has helped too. It could be the tremors and palps are over, or they could just be sleeping but I'm going to continue a sachet a day.
I have spent so much money on bloody supplements. And I'm still going to buy quercetin or however its spelt.

godhelpusall · 30/04/2020 08:42

Ok so my 9 year old has woken up with a terrible headache which I think is her sinuses. She's been ill for weeks with c19 but had been better for a week. Not sure if it's secondary infection? No temperature though.

Crayfishforyou · 30/04/2020 08:48

@godhelpusall
I have no advice but Flowers
7 year old dd is still pale, and spent yesterday on the sofa being dizzy.
