Its just so shit all these loved ones gone all these mothers and fathers leaving young children behind 😥

flax preserving jobs and employment is crucial. Not everyone going on UC.
Where is the money coming from to fund this? Aside from financially it’s in no way good for people’s wellbeing’s to have to leave jobs they’ve worked hard to obtain, to claim benefits.

People queuing outside B&Q do not represent those struggling to pay rent, so commenting B&Q is busy therefore people aren’t getting turfed out of their homes is baffling.

I agree

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 27/04/2020 22:28

So what did you mean then flax

We always have BBC breakfast on in background but normally muted atm as I just can’t stand how weirdly patriotic and sentimental it all is.
One thing that really bothers me are the presenters commenting on how great it is that white middle class people are zooming/doing anything to get on tv etc. It’s literally a sprint to the bottom every morning which is fine as I guess it’s purpose is to ‘entertain’ but the lack of diversity it reflects is pretty disgusting.
Lots of smug wfh bodies showing off-so boring!

Moominmammacat · 28/04/2020 17:34

I'm not as angry about people going out as I am about the vile Government failing to provide PPE for health care workers.

Carriecakes80 · 28/04/2020 19:25

I also took it that the OP meant those selfish twats that go out for the sake of going out, not those who need to work like my husband and sons and countless others.
But there are bloody ignorant selfish dicks that from day one have known thanks to the lack of 20,000 police (Cheers Tories! Nice one!) it was never going to be policed properly to keep people indoors.

Noextremes2017 · 28/04/2020 19:51

The Police know they are on shaky ground policing a totally incoherent Government policy.

BBC1 Breakfast muted is the only way to watch it. But it is even better without the picture.

Pigwig10 · 29/04/2020 00:32

Because we run a welfare hub and food bank. If I don't go to work, families don't eat. Simple as that!!

Petlover9 · 29/04/2020 02:32

@SpringBlossomIsBeautiful. Same here, either I go out or don't eat, nobody to help and no freezer, so every 5 days off I go. Drive into the country to walk once or twice a week as there are so many people out and about where I live. Next door had friends in last night. Could hear the noise until 2am. Mask, gloves and Zoflora; get home and hope I have not forgotten anything, lock the door and wonder if life will ever be normal
