Well, another stunningly unproductive day of WFH is drawing to a close. Amongst my many pointless activities I did do an online course about WFH. Apparently I should get up and move about more (just reaching over to flick the kettle on doesnt count as exercise).

Neighbours are having a barbecue. Do I call the police, squirt them with the jet wash or ask for a burger?

Smile say what? Do these folks think this is going on forever? Actually maybe they hope it will so they have a purpose in life to spy and report on people forever.

I can’t tell you all how pleased I am to find this thread!! I’ve been so bemused by some of the batshittery on MN (eg how to irradiate your strawberries, not to mention the snacks on bike rides nonsense).

So, in demonstration of my credentials, here’s my left foot and DDog. DDog is looking longingly at DD’s biccies. We stopped on our looong walk yesterday and sat on the grass with a thermos and biccies. Yes, we sat on the grass on the edge of the bridleway. Not. A. Single. Soul. In. Sight. Bold huh?!

I predict peak frothing coming in the next 2 weeks.

We have had a conversation with the health and safety executive. There lots of guidance to follow, but our engineers are starting to go back to work next week.

Even the ones not working on NHS projects. Alot of our work is done for insurance purposes. Its now been deemed as business critical. Not critical to the fight against covid. But critical for business. It seems the economy is starting to be a priority.

Apparently, now robust guidance is in place, lots of industry's will be going back. With emphasis on 'you can go to work if you can't work from home. But you must stick to the guidance'

Its almost like the government are starting to slowly move out of lockdown, under the radar. Without actually announcing it.

Won't be long until the curtain twitchers start to notice.

Have Metallica on tv very loud cos its my birfday and i dont care any more. If neighbours dogs can bark incessantly for hours at a time then they can listen to Metallica😀 they are outside filling skip with garden waste so dont supppse they care but sod em anyway. Done trying to be a good neighbour when nobody else cares.
