Day 43 now. I'm mostly fine now. Odd twinge or tightness in chest. Tired especially after 2 k walks. I've started Yoga. It's helping me stretch and breathe. I have the odd dip but feel like I'm repairing now. Take care all x

Tangledyarn · 21/04/2020 17:02

@moodgie I'm day 44 x

eyebrowsofinstagram · 21/04/2020 17:08

I'm on day 30 now and still feeling mostly ok today, although a little bit worse than yesterday if I'm honest.

I'm still not doing much, I'm up to about 1000 steps a day, it was 400 at my worst, and 700 when I was still struggling. So even though I'm in the recovery phase (keeping my fingers crossed!) my daily activity is still: shower, dress, lie down on sofa or bed, eat and dishwasher. Still got friends bringing my shopping as not strong enough to leave house yet.

I definitely don't want to panic myself but I was surprised when I saw my resting heart rate was so high. It's normally 54/55 can rise to 56 and is very rarely 57/58. Glanced at my Fitbit and it's 60. I know that's still mega- low. But for me it's very high.

I probably won't phone a doctor about it as they'll be reassured it's still low.

I just thought I'd add it on here as another weird step in this long journey to recovery.

Please look after yourselves those of you still unwell.

I'm pretty sure I'm repairing too. I had another decent walk today, which included a couple of hills. The only real symptom is the odd cough and sometimes still that weird hot lungs feeling in my back. But must have managed 2k today.

TheDrsWife46 · 21/04/2020 17:10

@Bornlazy no he said keep taking it and give it a proper chance to work.

WorriesomeDad · 21/04/2020 17:14

@eyebrowsofinstagram I wouldn’t worry about that too much. Mines been absolutely all over the shop. Resting is normally high 50’s but during this it’s been in to the 90’s plenty of times.

eyebrowsofinstagram · 21/04/2020 17:18

Phew thanks @WorriesomeDad

godhelpusall · 21/04/2020 17:40

Also on the mend finally. Day 41. It's not gone completely- the minty taste still there.", I will only consider it gone when that's gone. But so much better. It will happen. I've got everything crossed that my 9 year old will also be better soon.

CoughKeepsOnComing · 21/04/2020 17:42

Oh no :( this makes me feel so old! :( I'm 40 but I feel 23!! In age denial!

CoughKeepsOnComing · 21/04/2020 17:43

Oh gosh, no I'm not! I'm 41!!! (I'm so old I don't even know how old I am!!) Ahhhh

CoughKeepsOnComing · 21/04/2020 17:44

Oh goodness, and I should read the thread, not just the title!!! (Giving up and drinking more wine just now!!!)

Sorry, ignore my posts they.make no sense!!

CoughKeepsOnComing · 21/04/2020 17:45

Just to clarify - it thought this was going to be a thread about risk factor increasing from age 40

...quietly leaves...

longshot · 21/04/2020 17:45

@godhelpusall my 8 year old DD is also up and down still (only if she exercises really).

Day 42, ok, done ‘too much’ but am aware of this and now lying down in bed. For me it’s the chest sort of tightness and ache still that persist now. I’m less tired than I was most of the day.

@eyebrowsofinstagram my heart rate was ridiculous last week it’s not so bad now. I liked your comments re steps. I’ve been aiming now form 5000 a day this week, I didn’t wear my watch for the first 4 weeks but would imagine most days would have been less than 1000. I’ve done along way in the last week and it’s good to be reminded. I won’t make my target today but I’ve done more and I’m tired so not bothering and that’s fine!

Moodgie · 21/04/2020 17:47

I’m so pleased everyone is recovering. The fear though that I will be the only one left on this thread.

Dorual · 21/04/2020 17:58

I've had a terrible day today. Have a sore throat for the first time since the start, shirt of breath sensation, and just uncomfortable lungs. Got that hungover type feel going on too.

stayathomegardener · 21/04/2020 18:24

@OneDayAtATime123 your link is blocked because it talks of vitamin c treatment. Many of these links are being censored.

There is speculation that it it because vitamin c is cheap and not licences by anyone therefore unprofitable.

There are certainly many other dangerous treatment theories regarding Covid and yet they still stand. Make of that what you will.

I know I sound completely obsessed but please google Dr Myhill and treating infections with vitamin c.

Tangledyarn · 21/04/2020 18:47

@Moodgie Ha dont worry I still feel totally rubbish, so I'll be here for a while although posting less as I'm just trying to get on with it and not worry too much now xx

OneDayAtATime123 · 21/04/2020 18:48

@stayathomegardener
Interesting. Who is censoring them ?

Moodgie · 21/04/2020 18:50

@Dorual @Tangledyarn Sending hugs!
Hope we are all better soon! Xx

Elllicam · 21/04/2020 18:54

I’m gutted, I was almost back to normal (day 30) and went back to work last night. Lasted 4 hours and was mega breathless again. I think it was the dry heat plus breathing through a mask. Still not feeling great today and so embarrassed.

OneDayAtATime123 · 21/04/2020 18:58

Just google
Richmond Doctor Shares Story of COVID-19 Infection, Survival from associated press.

Egghead68 · 21/04/2020 18:59

@eyebrowsofinstagram you are doing much better than me. I feel like I am recovering now (day 31/32) but my resting heat-rate is around 83 (down from 105 at peak). I’m doing 400 steps and 5 mins gentle cycling now (was around 20 steps and no cycling for several weeks). I am glad we are both doing better (fingers crossed).

I have some pleuritic pain this evening after the cycling - breathing hard does not agree with me.

Egghead68 · 21/04/2020 19:05

@Ellicam I feel your pain. I am dreading my next relapse.

Sorry you had a bad day @Dorual. You must be so sick of it.

Get well soon @tangledyarn and @Moodgie.

Egghead68 · 21/04/2020 19:06

And everyone else of course (sorry - my back is now killing me and crouching over my phone due to short sight and short cable so can’t namecheck everyone).
