Sainsbury’s - disgusting unsanitary delivery for vulnerable customers

Hi All - on hold to Sainsbury’s and want to make you aware of their unsanitary delivery to vulnerable shielded customers

I’ve just come back from sanitising a grocery delivery for a vulnerable person (on lung transplant waiting list). Sainsbury’s delivered shopping without bags and left in a common hallway that various people walk on: including loose unbagged fruit and vegetables (melon, onions etc)

Making you aware in case it’s your parents and other loved ones on the receiving end of this great customer service

Yes if they haven't got shopping bags in the shop they are going to have plenty spare for the vsns. Of course the driver also had loads of time to bag the stuff. Get serious!
I'm sorry the driver didn't have time to pander to you but they are working stupid hours for rubbish wages and moaning customers.

I already avoid Sainsbury’s, their lovely in store but their customer service line is beyond shit

I wondered if they were running out of orange ones

1For I'm pretty sure in the bagged delivery days (before they went to crates) that they used blue for frozen so you could identify easily .
Now they're just using what they can!

@Flaxmeadow i've never seen streets been disinfected.
if so, how often they disinfect?

I have to say my last Sainsbury's Delivery before they stopped delivering to everyone was marvellous. All bagged. I waited indoors until everything on door step. Delivery man stepped away whilst I had a quick check. Great service.

CJsGoldfish · 19/04/2020 05:27

Sainsbury’s have accepted this is an issue with the originating store
Every single person who has worked in customer service in any capacity knows what this actually means 🤣

Peppafrig · 19/04/2020 05:33

Omg OP this is awful he left the stuff on the doorstep or next to the door in the hallway like he was supposed to. What a over reaction geez. Do you hope they sack him? If no one was there to take the delivery how did they get the number plate. Drama queen.

Peppafrig · 19/04/2020 05:37

Oh and if your visiting the vulnerable person anyway then you do their shopping if it's so appalling. Sainsbury’s have ditched a lot of their pass holders to deliver to the most vulnerable . You should be showing them gratitude.

That’s why I lovingly wipe down and sanitise it all

Lovingly? Hmm
