Just stayed up to try and get a Tesco slot

So was on the app and website using phone and iPad at 11.45 before there was a queue. At some point soon after the page went to a “youre in a queue don’t close the page “ message.

Got onto the website at 12:08.

All slots gone for both home delivery and click and collect. Which because of where I’m located are actually 2 different stores. I click and collect at my nearest one but if I have a delivery it comes from a store slightly further away.

I couldn’t have got in the queue any quicker! Is it just Impossible?

Weirdly, at about 11.40 tonight there were several click and collect slots for tomorrow! Happiness. Said to be checked out by 12.01, so I added stuff as fast as I could, and then it chucked me off the site (and into the queue) at 11.50 - slots all gone by the time I got back in. If I'd know it would do that I could have checked out earlier!

I looked at about 4am for Asda and they had 3 day worth of deliveries for 2 weeks time. Same as their click and collect if I look around 2pm they always seem to have some...

Our Asda is only doing a week ahead but I won't use them unless I can get a delivery as their collection point is in a cramped part of the store inside, so social distancing is impossible! (They may have moved it; I'm not ordering just to find out!)

Yeah I don't want to use ASDA for the same reason. A delivery from them would be fine but I don't want to take deliveries when I can't justify them.
Am thinking of setting up an old tablet just with the Tesco site on it and clicking refresh when ever I pass it, as spots seem to appear randomly whenever

i managed to get another one yesterday and they had lots again. i ordered for next week.
slots were there about 3-4pm

Sorry it’s so long away though. If you can manage it, carry on looking every day - earlier this week I got one at Iceland for the following day.

For anyone using Asda, we have a delivery pass because of that when you very first select a slot (if you get one) you can set it as recurring using various intervals. We set one up last week for every two weeks. You have to have a delivery pass to get thus option and you gave to do it when you first select the slot, you can't amend on to it.
