Just stayed up to try and get a Tesco slot

So was on the app and website using phone and iPad at 11.45 before there was a queue. At some point soon after the page went to a “youre in a queue don’t close the page “ message.

Got onto the website at 12:08.

All slots gone for both home delivery and click and collect. Which because of where I’m located are actually 2 different stores. I click and collect at my nearest one but if I have a delivery it comes from a store slightly further away.

I couldn’t have got in the queue any quicker! Is it just Impossible?

We have had two Sainsbury's deliveries and managed only get clock&collect for next week. Does anyone know when see at Sainsbury's release slots?

I can't log on to Sainsbury's at all - have shopped online in the past - as when I put my email in it says they are prioritising vulnerable customers. Which is good obviously, but I'm back to Tesco again

Just looked at Tesco again and could book virtually any slot between now and next Sunday!

Are people finding they can only book one slot? I have one booked for 2 weeks time but can’t seem to book another even when there are slots free.

Northernlass that doesn't sound right; I have two slots booked for my parents.

Nothing on Tesco here between now and April 7. Thinking I need to do a click and collect from whatever location some of you live in!!

VivaLeBeaver I just found he same as TheFlis; casually went to the Tescos site at around 11am and their were loads of slots for most days next week. I booked one for my parents, went back to the site ten minutes later and they'd all gone. So it's worth checking back in the day.

I've also stayed up loads of times until midnight; I have occasionally got a slot but usually not. It's very dispiriting I know; keep checking in the day.

No arguing with people, is there? Maybe they won’t in 2 weeks time when they’re hungry! So far I’ve got slots through 4 different supermarkets and none of them are Ocado or Waitrose...The food offering may be a bit different and some not the usual places they would shop. But it’s food. And I’ve found deliveries with them.

Perhaps you would consider getting a slot somewhere else on their behalf just in case you don’t get a slot. You can just check out a bottle of whisky and cancel if they still don’t want it. It is very unfair to expect such precision from you.

M&S are now selling food boxes...

Not I’m not. I have 2 slots with Tesco.

I can’t get a Sainsburys slot at all - and I work for them 😀 (although in a Local).

Just this second got a c&c with Asda if that's any help.

Half an hour after I first checked, still loads of Tesco slots free for the next week which I am amazed at! They must have massively increased capacity.

It's very much regional as neither our Tesco, nor the one near my parents, are releasing any slots! (Or they are and I'm missing them!)

Randomly check the app during the day as they seem to be adding slots here and there. They are currently taking on staff so I think that when a staff member is on board and had their training they can then add on a load of last minute slots.

Is there still an 80 item limit? There's no limit to how many items you can put in your basket but when you check out it says there's an 80 item limit and you need to remove some things. Is that still happening?

Sainsbury's sent me an email that they had slots left from the vulnerable group.

i got a slot last week randomly during the day ..they had lots of deliveries and click and collect so i must have been lucky

I managed to get one easily previously and this thread made me check again at half 8 before work and i managed to get one for Monday. Tescos must not be popular in my area 😂

Can’t get anything and I’m in the shielding group. Feels quite unfair to be honest but what can I do?

I logged onto Tesco to see if they have free slots. We have used Tesco couple of times only. But there was no slots available for next three weeks.
Sainsbury's doesn't seem to have any leftover slots either. It really looks like we are doing click&collect from Sainsbury's next week.

I just got a Tesco slot for my parents for 8th May. No slots left at my Tesco by the time I'd done though. But that's OK, I can go more easily than they can.

I went on yesterday afternoon about 3:00pm and was surprised how many free slots for delivery there where. Managed to get one for Thursday.
