Just stayed up to try and get a Tesco slot

So was on the app and website using phone and iPad at 11.45 before there was a queue. At some point soon after the page went to a “youre in a queue don’t close the page “ message.

Got onto the website at 12:08.

All slots gone for both home delivery and click and collect. Which because of where I’m located are actually 2 different stores. I click and collect at my nearest one but if I have a delivery it comes from a store slightly further away.

I couldn’t have got in the queue any quicker! Is it just Impossible?

I was inspired to check Tesco after reading this thread and yes, got one for next week! There were loads available but when I checked back after checking out, they had all gone!

No idea. Your elderly friend needs to decide if they want food or if they want a Waitrose delivery. The two may not be compatible. I’ve signed up with any website, which would have me as a customer to get slots.

Interestingly I can’t get a slot on my account For next week, but can on my elderly Parents account. Perhaps they are finally prioritising the vulnerable and elderly?

I just got a slot!

No click and collect but home delivery slots appeared for most days.

I think it must be where you live. I have tried this for over a fortnight and nothing. I am on my own with dc, one of which has asd. The reason i use online shopping is because taking dc to supermarket is too stressful and yet I am having to as no other option as can not get a slot. Can not even get click and collect.

If i was just shopping for us it would be slightly better but i have to shop for two vulnerable households as well as my own.

I am shopping for a total of 9 people, over three households.

I just want to cry as I type this as it is causing me so much stress and anxiety.

MIL text earlier in the week just after noon to say she managed to get a Tesco slot so I looked out of curiosity and could book any time or day this week! (We live in London and they are an hour away, so not same depot).

I have managed to get a tesco home delivery, an asda home delivery and 2 click and collects all to be collected or delivered in the space of 12 days, these are not for me i hastened to add, one is for my Dad and his neighbour 1 for my Daughter and Granchildren, 1 for 3 different elderly households close by and one for my Sister in laws Mum. I have manged to go online in the afternoons and had a choice of times. Try looking on the sites at different times of the day, maybe i have just been very lucky.

Asda release their slots at 10pm for the next day but a week ahead(don’t think that makes any sense🙄). Tonight at 10pm slots for Saturday the 25th should open.

I got one this morning about 7.45 and they were plenty available for the whole week from next Tuesday onwards.

My friend went on at 8.04 and they were all gone.

I also got one this morning for end of April. There was nothing yesterday so I think they are slowly becoming available.

I stayed up too but didn’t get a slot. I logged back on again this morning at 9am and there were loads for the week. I suggest logging on randomly throughout the day as you might get lucky. It would only allow me to book one (I usually have a couple booked) but that’s fair enough. Good luck!

I logged on at about 2 p.m. on Tuesday and got a slot for today and this morning at about 7.30 there were loads available for the next week . I must admit they go within minutes.

When I need a slot my strategy has been to open all local supermarkets in my browser (every day) and keep checking every hour or so. And also to be flexible with dates and times. I have so far managed to get a slot each week. I appreciate that’s difficult to do with young children though.
Do you have anyone local who can also look and let you know immediately if any are released? We have a bit of a team effort going on - I’m shopping for others and also looking out for slots for friends and relatives and they’re looking for me.

I've been trying for weeks now for a slot, we arly mornings, later in the day, nothing available at all. Read this thread, thought I'll give it a try knowing there'd be none and to my shock there were plenty of slits available for next week! Very odd, but very happy. Keep trying at all different times of the day.
