Just stayed up to try and get a Tesco slot

So was on the app and website using phone and iPad at 11.45 before there was a queue. At some point soon after the page went to a “youre in a queue don’t close the page “ message.

Got onto the website at 12:08.

All slots gone for both home delivery and click and collect. Which because of where I’m located are actually 2 different stores. I click and collect at my nearest one but if I have a delivery it comes from a store slightly further away.

I couldn’t have got in the queue any quicker! Is it just Impossible?

Trying to get a slot is either extremely difficult or impossible.
However a miracle happened this morning and just before midnight last night, I was able to get two slots for the following week after this week. I am unable to go shopping due to my husbands work and he being the only one driving. Plus the nearest asda is a good two bus rides, not practical with the current situation and 4 children and 2 of which are classed as vulnerable as both have significant health issues. So I grabbed these slots going.....

A couple.months ago I was able to get 8 slots for a month, I booked them before this all went down. But now they are going fast...

I logged in at 11.45 last night and then just before 6am this morning. So I think I will do that from now on, as today i have to brave asda with my eldest whilst the others sit in the car with dad. Dreading it really. I have been able to book slots up until last week. But they are so full atm I have to go asda in person today and next week and really not looking forward to it. Will be going on asda online at 11.45pm and just before 6am to secure slots for future as going supermarket is making me panic and I suffer with anxiety and IBS and believe me. Together not such a great combo.

For what it's worth and in case it helps anyone - I've just checked my local ASDA and they have loads of click and collect slots for the week after next. They were not there earlier!

I've just been onto Tesco site and got a delivery slot for 20 April!

I haven't been able to get one at all. During this whole time. It is driving me crazy. I've tried at midnight aswell. Nothing. Seriously driving me crazy.

I keep staying up to try to get them for my parents to save my dad going out as much (they're 170 miles away from me). I did quite well a couple of weeks' ago, but it's impossible now.

It's quite stressful really.

I was staying up until midnight for a few weeks to get a Tesco slot but have just discovered that Morrison’s is easier in my area - they must release them first thing in the morning rather than midnight and they are also randomly appearing through the day. There is a choice of slots for the 7th May at the moment for my area.

I've just got one five minutes ago. There were loads.

I’ve been checking my Tesco and Asda randomly through the days. It’s taken me two weeks but last week I managed to get a click and collect slot at Tesco at a store half an hour away from me (my local store doesn’t do them) and randomly a couple of days ago I managed to get an Asda delivery for the week after and it let me make it a recurring slot. It’s just pure luck I think on when slots are released, I’ve checked two or three times a day for two weeks before coming across these ones.

I manage with no problems by going online around 6.30-7am lots of slots then so maybe Tesco has started releasing them earlier in the morning rather than around midnight to give more people a chance to get a slot?

Must just depend on the demand where you live, I got an Asda one at 1.45am the other night - just happened to take a look when DD had woken, so nearly 2 hours after they were released.

Must depend where you are. Aslong as I look before 6am I get a click and collect ok. I’ve sat up and waited for a delivery slot but I prefer click and collect as delivery so expensive atm.

there were none last night I jut checked after another Pos comments and managed to get one for next week(none for weeks after)

It’s ok, I’m not really struggling.

I’ve got a couple of morrisons slots over the next few weeks. Would just prefer a Tesco slot......partly because morrisons seem to substitute loads of stuff and I thought I’d see if tesco were any better and also Dd has multiple food allergies and Tesco have a better range of stuff for vegan coeliacs. But I appreciate I’m lucky to have any slot so will cope.

The thing is that depends on where you are. So someone might see slots but then if you are somewhere else you might not.

Ive been trying to get a cluck and collect slot, without success. For deliveries, The availability of mine has changed, from "fully booked" to "unavailable ".

I wonder if my account had been prevented from accessing future slots if they are trying to give them to people they have on record as being vulnerable?

Tesco's have plenty of slots next week up til Saturday then shows unavailable after then so I think they release them for a few days at a time here

Ours must have refreshed this morning as I’ve been trying every day at differing times for a slot and this morning I checked and there were loads. I got one booked in and then went to see if I could get one for the following week and it said absolutely everything for weeks was gone, so I’m assuming they’ve got software running to stop you booking multiple slots. Not a bad thing in itself it’s just tiresome understanding how it works.

After opening this thread I had a look on Tesco and just got a slot for Sunday 26th. They had a few slots on that day and the few days around but by the time I checked out they were all gone.

Must just be completely random. I’ve checked at about this time on other days and there has been nothing. My last pre-booked slot was Monday. I’ll be happy if I can get one every 2 weeks and will just go to local coop for top up veg and milk in between.

I have slots booked for next two weeks but just checked my tesco and has loads of slots between next tues and sunday.

After our local Tesco being fully booked for weeks, I checked now and there are slots every day next week!!!! Have booked one on Tuesday...

Haven't tried Tesco,but have just managed to book a slot for Asda for 10 days time.Had a few slots available

How is it prioritising the vulnerable by releasing them at midnight

I know it's not as large a choice as Tesco/Asda/sains but I randomly went on Iceland yesterday afternoon and there was loads of slots for next day delivery. Their website says they release slots throughout the day so none of this logging on a midnight nonsense. I've managed to fill up on cupboard basics, fresh stuff, freezer stuff with most things in stock!
