@Doural probably you moving about a bit. Raised your heart rate and so your blood o2.

TheDrsWife46 · 16/04/2020 10:24

@eyebrowsofinstagram can we help you with your oximeter. What do u mean you cant get it to work? X

Dorual · 16/04/2020 10:25

Maybe. But I had moved about this am. I'll just keep an eye. Feeling fragile this morning. Very corona-y.

Moodgie · 16/04/2020 10:31

@Kitcat122 Have you still got that feeling of wanting to cough out gunk? I feel like something phlegmy stuck in my throat, can’t get rid of it with hot drinks.

godhelpusall · 16/04/2020 10:32

@Moodgie I have. More today than in the last three days. Felt like it had gone but it's back! It's like sticky post nasal drip and phlegm and nothing works to get it out.

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 10:34

Day 37/40 here my chest doesn’t feel right today can’t explain it but my breathing feels slightly off too, woke with kidney pain and I think Aunt flo will be paying me a visit today or tomorrow.

Today hubby who is day 34/37 is saying it hurts to breathe, his chest and head hurts.

I want to have a tantrum today and scream when will this be over. I know we have some time before we will be better but it’s frustrating.

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 10:35

Oh and I am back to coughing more and it’s changed it feels deeper but not bringing anything with it

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 10:36

@godhelpusall

Try honey, lemon, and two tbsp of apple cider vinegar and hot water, it smells and catches at the back of your throat a bit but does help clear it for you a little.

Egghead68 · 16/04/2020 10:39

@MilesJuppIsMyBitch tests I got as a shielded person were ECG, chest X-Ray, blood tests for inflammation markers, BP, temperature and Sats. No swab test. Told “probable covid”

godhelpusall · 16/04/2020 10:40

@pinkoneblueone god I hear you. A tantrum sounds very tempting. I'm sick of waking every day to nobody being properly better.

Moominmamma33 · 16/04/2020 10:42

@tangledyarn I know what you mean about the rules of social distancing once you've had it, was just thinking I guess we could pick the virus up on hands and move it onto other surfaces though, so there's a risk to others even if not to us.. i am actually annoyed though for all the distancing and handwashing I did, I still caught it!! Sure it was via my 3 year old though as she had the first symptoms and her preschool is attached to a primary school and shares facilities.
@Egghead68 I think I'd agree that days 25-29 are bad. Think I'm post-30 now and slightly better. Fatigue awful, but breathing less so today so far. Also, agree it's annoying people saying glad you're feeling better when you've actually said you're struggling...
Also if anyone wants medical info, can't remember if I said but my blood tests came back, clear on everything so not anaemic, isn't a blood clot, no infection signs so the Drs are convinced now it's covid. Diagnosis by exclusion, might be the only answer we can get at the moment.

eyebrowsofinstagram · 16/04/2020 10:43

Aah thanks for offer of help @TheDrsWife46 you just prompted me to get it back down off the shelf and have a look at it and I'd put the batteries in the wrong way round 🙈 so now I've got it working and my oxygen is 98 which I think is good enough?

So glad I've got it working as if I have another episode I can have the facts to hand to help me make a decision.

Regarding the chat about post-viral fatigue etc, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what we get or are having. I have to say I would much prefer it to be the post viral fatigue as that would mean the blasted thing had gone.

I had flu 3 yrs ago and got post viral fatigue so whole experience lasted 5 months till I was back to normal. But after 2 mths I was back at work, so didn't particularly enjoy the final 3 months, but in hindsight it wasn't that bad. I just felt terrible and it didn't shift day after day. Weirdly what made it go away was a charity fun run that that morning I thought I wouldn't go to as couldn't imagine managing, but doing a very light jog in the sunshine seemed to make the final strains fade away. But of course this was after 5 months!! Definitely not recommending jogging now!!!

TheDrsWife46 · 16/04/2020 10:57

@eyebrowsofinstagram yay that its working.

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 10:58

Can anyone tell me what post viral fatigue include does breathlessness feature in it at all?

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 10:59

I did google but didn’t see any breathlessness mentioned

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 11:06

Also did anyone get a new cough on days 37/40? Worried I may have picked up a new virus when I had to take DS to hospital for a check up for his virus symptoms

Moodgie · 16/04/2020 11:07

@godhelpusall Does it feel tickly as well?

@pinkoneblueone I have been drinking hot water with ginger / lemon / apple cider vinegar and nothing seems to shift it.

godhelpusall · 16/04/2020 11:08

@pinkoneblueone could the breathlessness be related to damage to lungs? Inflammation or the ground glass opacity stuff? I'm wildly guessing

godhelpusall · 16/04/2020 11:10

@eyebrowsofinstagram we're the symptoms similar to what you are experiencing now?

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 11:10

The breathing issues haven’t been every day and my cough seems more
Productive today tbh

godhelpusall · 16/04/2020 11:11

@Moodgie sometimes. Just feel like I want to do a really gross enormous cough to get it out

godhelpusall · 16/04/2020 11:12

@pinkoneblueone I think people said the productive cough was a good sign - like clearing out

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 11:13

@Moodgie I have just had honey and lemon to help clear my cough up. Still coughing lots. :(

Moodgie · 16/04/2020 11:15

@godhelpusall @pinkoneblueone I haven’t got a cough, never really had one - I want to cough though to get rid of it. Could it be the body just trying to clear out the stuff, as in post-infection?

pinkoneblueone · 16/04/2020 11:15

I really hope so!
