Hi all, update from me on day 35 as this thread nears the end...I started the 2nd thread about 3 weeks ago which is scary!

Anyway on day 35 I can report I haven’t felt too bad. I’m far from ‘fully recovered’ but my chest pain and breathlessness is much better, my muscle ache are far far less, no headache, no fever or cough (they went a while ago). I’ve managed two short strolls around my village, I’ve played with my kids all day, I’m shattered now but haven’t needed to nap.

Hang in there!!

Paracetamol, water, vit c, bone broth (this is a weird thing my DH makes but super nutritious), as much good food as I could manage, breathing exercises and sleep on front of you can and 5 weeks of REST.

WorriesomeDad · 14/04/2020 20:30

Get in @longshot! So good to hear.

WorriesomeDad · 14/04/2020 20:31

Yeah do it @MilesJuppIsMyBitch. After today I think I’m going to need it!

godhelpusall · 14/04/2020 20:33

Great news @longshot ! Really good to hear positive news. I'm also feeling better, still almost darent say it out loud though!

Mrswhirley · 14/04/2020 20:33

Has anyone experienced, along with chills - very cold feet?! Just cannot get feet warm.
and tender glands?

mumlurker · 14/04/2020 20:33

@longshot hurrah!

Amazing how quickly these threads fill up. I dread to think where I'd be without them. I can't imagine experiencing this madness on my own with no one to share experiences with!

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 14/04/2020 20:35

So pleased to hear you're finally on the mend longshot! Phew!

New thread here

hollieberrie · 14/04/2020 20:36

Hello all, checking in, gosh this thread moves fast.
Day 34 for me and still fairly ok - am a bit dizzy and still coughing on and off. I did manage to walk 5 mins to the corner shop very early for some milk though which feels like a win.

As others have also mentioned, I too am struggling massively with THE FEAR of it coming back, so not doing much at all. Tried to put the wheelie bin out and had to give up as it was too heavy and i was panting! Oh dear.

@godhelpusall thanks for replying about the Sudafed. I was too scared to take any in the end!

godhelpusall · 14/04/2020 20:40

@Mrswhirley yes to both

fedupofbed · 14/04/2020 20:44

@godhelpusall and @Mrswhirley yes to both too. This thread is keeping me sane.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 14/04/2020 20:46

Freezing feet here too. Yuk.

TheDrsWife46 · 14/04/2020 21:06

@longshot reading that as a little synopsis made me emotional there. I slammed into your threads in pure hysterics when people were checking on you because i was gripped in the day 5/6 sheer terror of it. Its so lovely to hear that you think you’re finally there now. One day I hope thats me saying bye to the thread. But off to the new thread i go...

longshot · 14/04/2020 21:09

@thedrswife46 I am not that confident...already on the next thread too! I felt better about 10 days ago and then dipped again so do not trust that it's over yet!

fedupofbed · 14/04/2020 21:17

It's lovely to end this thread with some positive news!

Porcupineinwaiting · 14/04/2020 21:21

@Mrswhirley yes I had icy hands and feet continuously for the first 8 days then periodically (on my bad days) after that. The disappearance of that particular symptom was my first indication that I was on the mend.

Moodgie · 14/04/2020 21:25

@longshot So pleased to hear the good news!

Andromeida59 · 14/04/2020 21:50

Apologies for butting in. I finally managed to eat something and have brought it all back up. I also have the most dreadful headache. Anyone experiencing this?

Tangledyarn · 14/04/2020 22:33

Fab. Really positive news! Dont overdo it and hope you continue to feel well:)

onlinelinda · 14/04/2020 23:04

@Longshot good news and I hope it continues.

I'm nearly recovered. I've been well for 4 full days, although on Sunday and just this evening I have had tiny dips. On both occasions I've had a return of the freezing cold symptoms for just an hour, then it disappeared. I walked 30 minutes yesterday and 40 today. My chest isn't great on a steep hill-weird twinges which disappear as soon as the ground levels. I've had the odd hot back feeling each day several times. But mostly I'm well.

I agree with @stayathomegardener that the timeframe of the thread should move on, as the other thread (Lungs) meets the shorter term need. And the aim of the thread is to support us and others like us-we don't have to take responsibility for meeting every covid need, although we can support others who fill the gap.

Pinkpather40 · 14/04/2020 23:11

Hi all! I keep dipping in and out of this thread! Day 44 or so!! lost count! :)

So beginning to feel better again in the last two days with no reflux which has been so nice. Still suffering with chronic constipation but working on thAt!

I was suffering with the chest and back pain until a few days ago which I am assuming is all the acid build up and gas which puts pressure on the lungs hence you feel it in your chest?!

I was also suffering terrible dizzy spells too until the reflux stopped!

Not sure what has helped!? I was taking omeprezole in the morning, lots of water, not eating processed foods, wheat or sugar, taking 200 million strength probiotics daily and also started taking a digestive enzyme!! Anyway something has changed so going to keep up with it!

Still wary of doing too much incase of relapsing again but feels good to be able to breath without restrictions!! Long may it continue 😁

Just wanted to share! X

notangelinajolie · 15/04/2020 01:11

If I wanted to start a new thread how would I do it? I have started threads before but now I just can't see how I go about it.
Either Covid-19 has taken hold or my brain cells have upped and walked out of the room. Please can somebody point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

notangelinajolie · 15/04/2020 01:12

Sorry, ignore I found it.

stayathomegardener · 15/04/2020 14:09

So glad to have found this thread. I am 17 days in I think. So glad to have found this thread which indicates that not everyone suffers the typical symptoms of high temperature and cough, and that many seem to have a long drawn out experience. Have felt like a fraud until now, thinking maybe it's all psychosomatic and I have just brought these symptoms on myself...

So my symptoms have been: horrendous fatigue, body like led, achy muscles all over, sore throat, headaches, tight chest. I was in bed for five days at first then well for 8 days then back in bed for the last two days..
