What happened to the letters the government were writing to every household?

About 10 days ago I thought it was announced that the government was writing to every household in the country to reiterate the advice regarding CV

I thought it seemed a waste of time and money as you’d have to be living in a bunker to have not heard to before but that’s beside the point

Did anyone actually receive this letter?

We haven’t had ours.

The only helpful bit is the isolation chart

Got ours on Monday. What a waste of money.

Rhubardandcustard · 08/04/2020 11:16

Got one from our local council. Nothing from the government. South east.

Purplequalitystreet · 08/04/2020 11:17

Got ours yesterday. Merseyside. It didn't say anything we didn't already know!

Punxsutawney · 08/04/2020 11:17

We are on the south coast and haven't had one.

Portulaca · 08/04/2020 11:22

No. Unless DH has read it & forgotten to tell me 😳

BiggerBoat1 · 08/04/2020 11:23

Got it yesterday. Total waste of money. Told us nothing we didn't already know.

sunshinesupermum · 08/04/2020 11:26

No haven't received it. Waste of money in any case.

MrsWombat · 08/04/2020 11:28

We got ours today. No new information in it but I think the "letter from the prime minister" might be saved for prosperity.

TheGreatWave · 08/04/2020 11:30

Yesterday. Just a postman leaflet drop (rather than actually being addressed to anyone)

I guess for people without internet the leaflet is useful.

nonwonderwoman · 08/04/2020 11:30

We got ours today. I thought the chart on different lengths of isolation for family members catching the virus on different days was useful.

Got mine this morning near Manchester, not opened it, it's gone into my "post and parcel quarantine centre" (the corner of my porch) for five days

Princesspickle777 · 08/04/2020 11:31

Yes, yesterday

BiggerBoat1 · 08/04/2020 11:32

MrsWombat do you mean posterity?

If so, why would you want to save anything from that cockwomble?
The only reason I can think that Boris would send this is vanity. Don't buy into that by saving it for future generations please!

mrswhiplington · 08/04/2020 11:32

We got ours today. North West

CaptainMyCaptain · 08/04/2020 11:32

We got ours yesterday.

Why not? The Protect and Survive leaflets in the early 80s were ludicrous advice (e.g. make a fallout out shelter with a door taken off its hinges and a mattress) but are interesting to look at now.

aleC4 · 08/04/2020 11:35

I got mine this morning

LIZS · 08/04/2020 11:36

Ours today too.

Doyoumind · 08/04/2020 11:36

Yes. I think it was Monday.

But it will be such an interesting historical document in years to come (yes, I’m a geek!)

Pinkflipflop85 · 08/04/2020 11:40

We haven't received one yet, but we dont currently have a postman to deliver to us.

CoronaIsComing · 08/04/2020 11:42

We haven’t.

goose1964 · 08/04/2020 11:42

Ours arrived this morning.
