The other thread is filling up fast so setting up the foundation for our new evil lair. One where we follow real guidelines, not made up ones, make sock cocks ,ruin hair and bemoan the shortage of Spanish soldiers.

This is where we'll keep each other sane or descend into madness together... depends on the day.

Coldemort
Oh i think that thread would probably tip MN into the abyss after spontaneously combusting!
You are probably in for a public flogging at the very least!

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 07/04/2020 11:47

I'm in. Because apparently, having had the temerity to contract the lurgy and not die, if I were to cash in on my good fortune and at the expiry of my contract, get another job with my new and shiny Certificate of Immunity From Coronavirus (slightly less effort required on my part than my red swimming badge aged 7, but potentially a little more valuable), I would literally be causing civil unrest because the Self Employed wouldn't be happy I got to leave the house and work in the NHS or have a beer with friends. Oh, and I probably deserved to catch it because I was clearly careless.

I’ve got a holiday booked in Cornwall in September that I don’t know if I’ll be able to cancel or rebook. Even if the travel restrictions have been lifted the locals don’t want anyone there. I’m not going if there’s a bloody restriction in place but it’s been lifted then what am I supposed to do? I can’t rebook or get a refund so won’t be spending any money there next year!

Coldemort · 07/04/2020 11:56

Oh I would, but we were also drinking wine and I dont know if I could take the beating Grin
Although I am bored....

Monstermissy36 · 07/04/2020 11:59

Oh thank fuck for this thread.... I thought I was alone and no one else could see the utter madness!!

I confess my 87 year old neighbour came and mowed my lawn this week.... he is still going up his allotment and says he'd rather be in a box than stuck indoors... can't argue with that!

Willow2017 · 07/04/2020 12:03

Mitzi
Sod em all. You are entitled to work same as anyone else who cant wfh. Some people just cant help themselves but put everyone else down to make themselves feel.better. Enjoy your freedom.

And surely no one would be batshit enough to have a problem with sitting out on a fourth floor balcony Hmm

WonderWoman36 · 07/04/2020 12:05

We've been self isolating completely for 3 weeks now, we get our food delivered etc and manage with what we have (it seems I was always a bit of a hoarder with food and so now we are finding bits and pieces everywhere so don't need to go out for food, we are able to cook alot!) my sis in law has also been isolating same as us and so on Saturday we had them come over for a bbq, we know it's safe as we've all been fully social distancing for over two weeks by that point, I don't care what others say, we are grown adults and were being responsible because we can make our own bloody decisions based on the advice given. Omg phew, that feels so good to let out, I think I've found my people on mn!

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 07/04/2020 12:07

Hooray! Here you all are... Grin

Of course not, oh wait...
waving to/talking to someone across the street NOT ALLOWED.
Talking to people on thier doorstep from your car NOT ALLOWED.
Going to open parkland on your walk and not seeing a soul NOT ALLOWED.
Er let me get back to you on that.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 07/04/2020 12:13

Cold you'd be surprised. The government doesn't have to introduce a stricter lockdown considering the MN frenzy of made up rules. They'd probably fall short anyways.. too permissive.Grin

Did anyone see the thread where one poster said she wanted army on the streets with automatic weapons, forcing people to stay in their house.

What was worse....some people agreed and defended it.

Also, Small pup says good morning!

I am sitting in my garden drinking tea. My ndn has been chatting to me. The postman updated me on local gossip when he delivered my contact lenses - obviously from the other end of the path, but it felt deliciously rebellious.

Shits i am all for having the absolute idiotic selfish peeps pulled up by the police and given what for but armed soldiers! That really shouldn't be necessary in civilized society.
And still the idiots think we are not allowed outside at all!

although if they are prime specimens of men in uniform i might confess to some crime or another as laid down by Mn and throw myself on thier mercy 😄😄😄

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 07/04/2020 12:26

I don't think it would be their mercy you'll be throwing yourself at.Grin
