The other thread is filling up fast so setting up the foundation for our new evil lair. One where we follow real guidelines, not made up ones, make sock cocks ,ruin hair and bemoan the shortage of Spanish soldiers.

This is where we'll keep each other sane or descend into madness together... depends on the day.

Ooh, I've got another one! I used a cup of flour to make play dough for my kid! Delectably germy play dough! It will only last 4 weeks and he's barely played with it in the past two weeks. Might make some more

OMG!!!!!

Have you seen the thread where the op is telling people not to buy flour to use for play dough because she wants to bake with it?

There was me thinking if you bought something you could do whatever the hell you wanted with it! Stooopid ol me!

Letmegetthisrightasawoman · 06/04/2020 15:22

Yes, that's what made me see the error of my ways (as if!)

wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 06/04/2020 15:28

I'm a clapping refusenik which means I have LiTERALLY condemned people to death and should not be allowed to use a ventilator.

Can I join in?

Zofloramummy · 06/04/2020 15:32

I’ve just ordered diamond painting kits online, bought Easter eggs, flowers and a magazine after finally completing my isolation for symptoms. Oh and I took my daughter with me to the shop. Should I be shot at dawn?

Willow2017 · 06/04/2020 15:49

Zoflora
Hmmm let me see...

  1. Buying frivilous unecessary purchase online
  2. Buying unecessary food items
  3. Buying any non-food item
  4. Letting your germ infested dd outside for more than .2345 seconds

Pick up the whip and self flagelate for an hour you utter disgrace! (I passed it to Fredwinnie last so get it from her. Might be a bit grotty by now)

Zofloramummy · 06/04/2020 17:14

I have also studiously assisted my dd in writing a report on Henry VIII whilst singing the song from horrible histories, had a row with her over how to do multiplication and drank a glass of wine in despair.

I’m honestly think I should self flagellate.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 17:23

I can help with multiplication. Everything else...you're on your own. Including the whipping.Grin

OOOh I love Horrible Histories, still cant get all the names of the Kings and Queens though, my kids could! (hangs head in shame)
Drinking a glass of wine is mandatory in the current guidelines. (well if half of MN are making up their own rules then so am I)

MayFayner · 06/04/2020 17:31

I think play doh is more essential than cake.

I get about an hour’s peace from play doh whereas I only get 5 minutes from cake.

Letmegetthisrightasawoman · 06/04/2020 21:00

Ey up! Public service announcement: under no circumstances are you to feel sorry for your small child not being able to do the things they are used to doing. Don't you know others are suffering more??? You shouldn't have allowed your child to get bored in the first place! Tsk tsk.

Unescorted · 06/04/2020 21:09

I have just realised why Bananas are NOT ALOUD... if you turn them the wrong way in the fruit bowl they might smile. All the other fruit will be encouraged to break distancing roooolz.

Greysparkles · 06/04/2020 21:13

Ooo new thread!

I'm surprised I didn't get named and shamed on facebook for leaving the house 3 times today!
My local page has gone batshit Grin

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 21:16

I'm feeling generous today , since we've been in, there is one free walk up for grabs. Just don't lick any trees.

Are we aloud to breath though?

BatshitCrazyWoman · 06/04/2020 21:19

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut I got into my first ever disagreement on FB with the woman who posted that on my local FB group. A few of us said it was inaccurate and scare mongering. It didn't take long for 100s of FB Frothers to screech at us for being 'murdering boneheads'. You couldn't make it up. But also, quite amusing to wind them up just a little bit more .... (I'm evil!!!)

glueandstick · 06/04/2020 21:28

People shutting down selling sites on Facebook because it’ll cause postal workers to die and they need to be protected. Some people make their living selling stuff but noooooooo they should give up work immediately! My argument that if the postmen don’t want to do it they might like to take some time off. But how will they be paid?! They need pay to survive. Yeah love. We all do. And if there is no post they won’t be working anyhow.

Oh wait. What’s this? A sale at the brand people are selling from. Wait. You’re opening sales posts again because you know people will want to get some money to be able to buy more stuff?

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MAIL WORKER KILLERS?!! It’s different now you’ll personally save some money? Oh. Interesting.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 06/04/2020 21:33

Of course any excuse to wind up the frothers @BatshitCrazyWoman Grin

To be serious for a moment though, my XH’s OCD really damaged our relationship and it breaks my heart to think that it IS a given that the culture of panic x actual governmental guidance = a guaranteed generation of youngsters who are likely to develop OCD as a result of this episode.

Honestly breaks my heart, it’s a real life ruiner.

Ok guys, back to the Love Actually meme which I’ll be spreading around faster than COVID19 on an Amazon parcel

Biddie191 · 06/04/2020 21:45

Please can I have a link to the previous thread?
My husband went shopping today, but I'm off out tomorrow (although it is for animal food and spuds).
I only spent about 3 daylight hours indoors today

FredWinnie · 06/04/2020 21:47

Pick up the whip and self flagelate for an hour you utter disgrace!

Here you go, Zofloramummy, one well used whip. Grin

I hope that whip has been disinfected thoroughly!

letme breathing is only ALOUD if you have clapped as part of your daily exercise (not cycling) quota while selflessly purchasing the last bag of flout to give to the old dear at the checkout because she couldn't purchase any because of all the selfish stockpilers.

Can I join?

I was castigated by a member of the public for leading a horse yesterday, and told I need to stay at home, and the nhs hasn't got time for riding accidents. The fact I was at home, and they had strayed from a footpath to lecture me didn't deter them. Nor did they let the minor detail that I was walking next to the horse get in the way of their hypothesis I might overwhelm the nhs with riding accidents.

I also saw a neighbours friend stop outside their house and exchange pleasantries across the length of the driveway, and didn't ring the police.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 22:24

and didn't ring the police.

You obviously lack moral fibre. I recommend more pasta, or if you're all out a potato. I heard it's a good replacement for a lot of things.Grin
