I feel the same, a bit - my life has been lurching from one practical / emotional crisis to the next for so long, with anything vaguely approximating to stability so far out of reach, that while I feel very sad for those suffering directly from the virus, I don't have this calamitous sense of "oh my cosy world has fallen down" that some people seem to have. I think some people are finding me annoyingly upbeat, or even find me flippant. It's not that I'm not worried, or sad; it's just that I live with a default measure of worried and sad that some people with stable marriages and material security just don't, I guess. Sorry for not weeping and rending my garments, but I'm all out of weeping and these are the only garments I have, so I'll leave it for now, thanks.

there's also the other thing: a lot of tiresome bullshit has fallen away, like the constant going to a physical place to have people wanging on at you and judging your appearance while you try to get things done and you have to smile and be nice to them. In theory this was a necessary side-effect of work. In practice, it's become clear how many people actually live to show up and wang on in people's faces and actually all those conventions exist to emotionally satisfy those sorts of people. Well right now I am very emotionally satisfied by being wanged on at a lot less, so, I'll take what I can get.

I think I'm a qualified sinner: I have not clapped ( or danced, shone a torch, twerked or boinked), I am an over-breeder who dared to have three children (ok, so last two were twins, but still), I have secured a Tesco slot and amongst my essential purchases have ordered Pringles, ice cream, mini eggs and toblerone, we are using our flour for frivolous purposes and I have ordered some "essential" crafting items and pavement chalk for the kids from Amazon....the shame...

I have horribly sinned and outraged the neighbours.

OH had to go out to buy/find/fight T'Chulu for some food and I shouted after him.

"Don't forget the nice cakes! Buy four!!"

I felt the punch of communal gasping and disapproval deep into my core, it will get better with cake though.

The boss, is a dick. We had a conference call this morning where he talked about managing his own expectations correctly. Basically rehashed my email. He did, however, give me an apology and pointed out how hard I was working and that everyone just needs to give me the information I am requesting

The black one reminds me of one i had when a teen. She was rescue and had been a farm cat litter. Feral !!!! I had scratches all up my arms for weeks! But she settled down and would curl up on my mums knee when it suited her just to make knitting more difficult than it should be😀

Well more painting done and brushes cleaned. Need to get changed and go to the shop. Will try again to drag a child out for a walk, ok oldest aint gonna happen...but might guilt trip younger one😉
