There's no precautionary admittance to ICU.

I've just said to DH that this will shut the conspiracy theorists up, I scroll down Facebook and already there is somebody saying it's all "bollocks" and they don't believe he's in ICU or even ill. "They" needed a high profile bad case because Prince Charles recovered so quickly.

Bearbehind I am not revelling - I think this is a fucking disaster. I am being realistic about how long it usually takes people who have spent weeks in ICU (which is what we see with Covid, they don’t get better quickly) to return to work.

Not a Tory not a BJ fan (as it were) but the last thing we need right now is confusion and a power scramble plus of course he's quite young and has a baby in the way and kids already and plus I think it will knock the country a bit generally to have him go.

If nothing else, I am going to say a little prayer for him and all those affected by this awful virus. Then I am going to thank god that I am not the kind of person who needs to be vile or snarky on social media about somone who is seriously ill. I am seriously relieved that if nothing else, I am not that type of person.

If he survives this, I don't think so. Watching live feed on Sky News, people have realised this is not political and are rooting for him to survive. If he comes through this, people want him to lead again.

This awful virus as brought out the very best in people but sometimes sadly the worst.

The feels like the bit halfway though a film where everything is shit, then suddenly gets 10 times worse. I feel like switching the news & wifi off for 3 weeks, ignorance is bliss and all that. I really hope he recovers.

The man has been in ICU for a matter of hours yet you’ve decided he’ll be in there for weeks and off work for months

@TiddyTid I agree. I think people have seen a different side of him , I think no he has been trying hard ( nhs worker - most of my colleagues feel this way too).

Please don't pray for him it could make him worse.

I didn't like him, I didn't vote for him. But my respect for Boris increased greatly by his handling of this crisis. But, irrespective of all that, I wouldn't wish this on any one. He is the same age as my DH. He is a human, a father, a son, and the leader of our nation. I certainly have him, his family, and the NHS staff caring for him in my thoughts. ❤
