MmmNutella 50%, though obviously that’s unadjusted.

Bearbehind · 06/04/2020 21:01

I reckon that’s it for him as PM, I really do. He won’t be able to prise his successor out of No10 after they’ve spent six months in the job, will he?

People really need to stop writing such bollocks which has no basis in reality

This virus didn’t even exist 6 months ago so where have you plucked that figure from?

Stop fucking reveling in something that’s so horrific and stop speculating about things which you know nothing about

Pomegranatepompom · 06/04/2020 21:02

@howwillthispanout that’s very distasteful.

There is capacity in critical at the moment.
How awful this all is.

HatRack · 06/04/2020 21:03

From NHS website:

"Intensive care is needed if someone is seriously ill and requires intensive treatment and close monitoring, or if they're having surgery and intensive care can help them recover.

Most people in an ICU have problems with 1 or more organs. For example, they may be unable to breathe on their own."

There's no precautionary admittance to ICU.

howwillthispanout · 06/04/2020 21:04

How am I being critical when I am quoting the Prime Minister? See also: “Part of this flawed psychological state is that they cannot accept that they might have made any contribution to their misfortunes ...”

WoollySheep462 · 06/04/2020 21:04

I have a horrible feeling that he is not going to make it, wishing him better. He is only 55.

@GreyGardens88 You are not wrong.

EmMac7 · 06/04/2020 21:08

Oh Boris. 😢

TheCanterburyWhales · 06/04/2020 21:09

Some people just have, to quote a wonderful and gone too soon MNer (LadyBeagleEyes for those who remember her) dirty souls.

Howwillthispanout. That pans out as an apt description of you right now. It's not big. It's not funny.

And I say that as a lifelong hater of the Tories and disgust at what's happened to my country in the past decade.

Roostersmum2 · 06/04/2020 21:09

I've just said to DH that this will shut the conspiracy theorists up, I scroll down Facebook and already there is somebody saying it's all "bollocks" and they don't believe he's in ICU or even ill. "They" needed a high profile bad case because Prince Charles recovered so quickly.

Some people just despicable and it makes me so angry seeing this shit.

Thoughts are with his family right now, his poor fiance must be beside herself

Didkdt · 06/04/2020 21:10

Can we not write him off just yet
He's in ICU but that doesn't mean he will be intubated
IF he us intubated it doesn't mean he'll die.
And those of you who don't like him or didn't vote NOBODY CARES, enough people voted for him to get a comfortable victory. You're not superior by smugly touting your dislike.

ChristmasCarcass · 06/04/2020 21:11

Bearbehind I am not revelling - I think this is a fucking disaster. I am being realistic about how long it usually takes people who have spent weeks in ICU (which is what we see with Covid, they don’t get better quickly) to return to work.

BeetrootRocks · 06/04/2020 21:11

Not a Tory not a BJ fan (as it were) but the last thing we need right now is confusion and a power scramble plus of course he's quite young and has a baby in the way and kids already and plus I think it will knock the country a bit generally to have him go.

Tonyaster · 06/04/2020 21:11

If nothing else, I am going to say a little prayer for him and all those affected by this awful virus. Then I am going to thank god that I am not the kind of person who needs to be vile or snarky on social media about somone who is seriously ill. I am seriously relieved that if nothing else, I am not that type of person.

TiddyTid · 06/04/2020 21:11

I reckon that’s it for him as PM, I really do. He won’t be able to prise his successor out of No10 after they’ve spent six months in the job, will he?*

If he survives this, I don't think so. Watching live feed on Sky News, people have realised this is not political and are rooting for him to survive. If he comes through this, people want him to lead again.

Pomegranatepompom · 06/04/2020 21:12

This awful virus as brought out the very best in people but sometimes sadly the worst.

Tonyaster · 06/04/2020 21:13

dirty souls perfect.

toryandproud · 06/04/2020 21:13

why do people feel the need to say "I hate the guy / the Tories, but..."

esjee · 06/04/2020 21:13

The feels like the bit halfway though a film where everything is shit, then suddenly gets 10 times worse. I feel like switching the news & wifi off for 3 weeks, ignorance is bliss and all that. I really hope he recovers.

PinkSparkleUnicorns · 06/04/2020 21:14

@AnyFucker can I ask do you work in critical care?
Your comment has scared the shit out of me:

If he is in the ICU things are very bleak for him. Please listen to me now. Anyone who works in critical care will tell you this.

Kitchendoctor · 06/04/2020 21:14

@WoollySheep462

Have you ever heard that phrase about having something useful to say?

Bearbehind · 06/04/2020 21:14

I am not revelling - I think this is a fucking disaster. I am being realistic about how long it usually takes people who have spent weeks in ICU (which is what we see with Covid, they don’t get better quickly) to return to work.

You absolutely are revelling in it

The man has been in ICU for a matter of hours yet you’ve decided he’ll be in there for weeks and off work for months

How the fuck do you think that is in any way helpful?

Pomegranatepompom · 06/04/2020 21:14

@TiddyTid I agree. I think people have seen a different side of him , I think no he has been trying hard ( nhs worker - most of my colleagues feel this way too).

vera99 · 06/04/2020 21:15

Please don't pray for him it could make him worse.

CONCLUSIONS:
Intercessory prayer itself had no effect on complication-free recovery from CABG, but certainty of receiving intercessory prayer was associated with a higher incidence of complication

IsolaPribby · 06/04/2020 21:16

I didn't like him, I didn't vote for him. But my respect for Boris increased greatly by his handling of this crisis. But, irrespective of all that, I wouldn't wish this on any one. He is the same age as my DH. He is a human, a father, a son, and the leader of our nation. I certainly have him, his family, and the NHS staff caring for him in my thoughts. ❤

Tonyaster · 06/04/2020 21:16

vera99 oh dear!
