Well. We won't know the truth right now. Whatever that is.

I just hope he gets better

kateandme · 05/04/2020 23:59

alloutoffucks who he is they will.they will be being way over cautious.im sorry if you think he will be getting the sametreatment as the rest of those with this you are deluded

alloutoffucks · 05/04/2020 23:59

They have probably been asked to report it this way.
Routine tests would be sat tests which any HCP can do in a patients home.

Moomin8 · 05/04/2020 23:59

That was in response to the poster saying why he's in hospital

Bornfreebutincovidchains · 06/04/2020 00:00

Get better soon Boris. 🙏 🕯

Goodness knows what sort of viral over load has been going on at no 10 with all these people exposed to each other and wasn't it a mooted that it was Michel Barnier who lit this fire? How is Michel?.
I think the bar will be low too admit Jim, being our leader but also as pp said with all the medical support that no 10 has 1⃣ does wonder how serious it is.

RosesandIris · 06/04/2020 00:00

Not good news. I hope he gets some peace in hospital at least. Having to go on air when you’re feeling shit must be awful. His partner has been in bed for a week.

Bornfreebutincovidchains · 06/04/2020 00:01

On amazed if duchess of Cambridge smokes!

alloutoffucks · 06/04/2020 00:02

@kateandme Of course he will not be getting the same treatment. But you don't admit a PM to hospital for something minor. He will either have been admitted because he is very ill and they are worried that he may need medical intervention that can only be done in a hospital, or he is having that medical intervention.
Remember the only treatment for this is supporting breathing. So if someone's breathing is fine, for their own sake you leave them at home, whoever they are.

Bornfreebutincovidchains · 06/04/2020 00:02

He didn't even manage a shave the other day! It was all patchy.

alloutoffucks · 06/04/2020 00:04

@Bornfreebutincovidchains There are multiple photos of her smoking. She does smoke.

Thehouseofmarvels · 06/04/2020 00:05

Should the worst happen the funeral would be absolute hell for Carrie as I imagine she'd probably be forced to invite Marina, especially given Marina is still his legal wife, and his kids, and the love child/children and their mothers. I imagine this would be the most awful experience for Carrie as they would see her as the other woman. Hopefully it won't happen but I watched my Mother going through organising a funeral for my Grandfather, doing probate, selling his property. Carrie would have to do this while giving birth or with a new born. We will all have to hope and prey that he gets better quick as this stress would be so bad for her and baby!

alloutoffucks · 06/04/2020 00:06

So sure if his breathing is very difficult, he will be admitted at a level we may not be. But they are underplaying this.

PicsInRed · 06/04/2020 00:07

On amazed if duchess of Cambridge smokes!

She most certainly does.
And not just socially.

prh47bridge · 06/04/2020 00:08

In the meantime the thought of Dominic Raab on charge is frankly terrifying. Would it definitely be him

It isn't clear. As First Secretary of State he is de facto Deputy PM, so he is standing in for Boris at the moment but that doesn't necessarily mean he would take over if Boris died. It would be up to the Conservatives to select a new leader. Given the current situation, I suspect they wouldn't have a full-blown leadership election. My guess is a temporary leader would be chosen by Conservative MPs or possibly just the cabinet with a full election not taking place until the current crisis is over. But that is just a guess.

So was this actually true

He did say in one of the regular press conferences on 3rd March that he was shaking hands with everyone and that may have included some coronavirus patients. I wouldn't describe his comment as boasting. He was emphasising that the guidance at that time was that shaking hands was ok as long as you washed your hands properly, a stance with which the CMO and Chief Scientific Adviser agreed at that time.

He tested positive on March 26th. I presume that was soon after the onset of symptoms. The incubation period for Covid-19 is 1-14 days, most commonly 5 days according to the WHO. So he was probably infected around 21st March and no earlier than 12th March, give or take a day or two. On that basis it seems unlikely that he picked it up by shaking hands with infected patients.

JoeExotic · 06/04/2020 00:09

What a bizarre thing to post

HannahStern · 06/04/2020 00:10

A funeral is the least of Carrie Symond's concerns at the moment.
Either way, Marina has cancer and wouldn't be in a position to attend.

PicsInRed · 06/04/2020 00:11

It's worse than that houseofmarvels, Carrie isn't legally family, therefore could not attend under the present funeral provisions. Immediate family only, friends only if not family.

Defacto not legally recognised in the UK.

His children and possibly Marina would attend, depending on whether they were yet legally divorced.

bumblingbovine49 · 06/04/2020 00:11

I didn't realise that a prolonged fever = hospital admission.
How sweet and a bit naive. This is only true for the PM or other" important' people. Others are being told to fuck off and stay at home. Don't go to hospital unless you practically stop breathing. So effectively wait until you are almost dying before asking for an ambulance. If you or the ambulance get it wrong and actually die then so be it, at least the NHS has one less patient to ' overwhelm.' them Hmm

But the PM needs.to be checked and reassured and tested for a persistent high temperature and no other symptom? Unless he is sicker than they are admitting, the hypocrisy makes me sick.

If they can help him before he is at deaths door, then why are they refusing to help so many others. One 23 year old nurse was not even allowed to to.stop work when they said they felt ill and ended up dead a couple of days later

kingofkings · 06/04/2020 00:12

I don't think it's very nice to speculate about his death. And women giving birth don't organise funerals at that time. What a strange set of comments.

Aesopfable · 06/04/2020 00:12

especially given Marina is still his legal wife, and his kids

Marina would then still be his next of kin and everything that comes with that.

prh47bridge · 06/04/2020 00:12

She most certainly does. And not just socially.

Really? She certainly used to smoke but there are no photos of her doing so since she married. The Duchess of Cornwall definitely smokes but I am not aware of any evidence that the Duchess of Cambridge smokes. If you have evidence I would be interested.

PicsInRed · 06/04/2020 00:13

The limitation of funerals to "immediate family" only will create traumatic and devastating situations in a society like the UK in which marriage is not universal.

alloutoffucks · 06/04/2020 00:13

But you would not want to admit someone for a temperature for their own sake. It would not be in his best interests to be in a busy hospital if there is no possible need.

lyralalala · 06/04/2020 00:13

Should the worst happen the funeral would be absolute hell for Carrie as I imagine she'd probably be forced to invite Marina, especially given Marina is still his legal wife, and his kids, and the love child/children and their mothers.

With the restrictions on funerals getting tighter and tighter there may end up being no-one there.

I’d assume he’d have his will and plans written up. Otherwise Carrie would be the one getting invited rather than the other way round

teaandajammydodger · 06/04/2020 00:14

Could this be linked to the Watford critical incident? It was reported that police were blocking all paths leading to the hospital yesterday.
