Hang in there Borris💙🙏💙

Inkpaperstars · 05/04/2020 23:43

The duchess of Cambridge smokes too but there's no mention of that anywhere much.

that's interesting, I did not know that, I guess she figures it helps her to stay thin.

kingofkings · 05/04/2020 23:43

He will have special care Im sure - consultant review, CT scan etc probably

Rosehip10 · 05/04/2020 23:44

@moomin8 evidence that duchess of Cambridge smokes? Or is that social media gossip?

EightNineTen · 05/04/2020 23:45

There've been photos of her smoking.

alloutoffucks · 05/04/2020 23:45

I thought it was well known the Duchess of Cambridge smokes.

FredaFrogspawn · 05/04/2020 23:46

I wonder which hospital he has been admitted into - St Thomas’s is probably the nearest.

CeciledeVolanges · 05/04/2020 23:46

I don’t wish anyone badly, but his life is no more or less significant than anyone else’s. It’s just that he gets to make decisions which support his continued electability which cause thousands to die. And he has. He was boasting about shaking hands with coronavirus patients - wrongly - and now here he is.

Malbecmama · 05/04/2020 23:46

Speedy recovery Boris. Hopefully the admission is just part of precautionary checks.

Moomin8 · 05/04/2020 23:47

Probably not - smoking is just addictive 🤷🏻‍♀️

underneaththeash · 05/04/2020 23:47

He definitely needs to rest. Drs will hopefully take that clear.

JoeGargery · 05/04/2020 23:47

Duchess of Cornwall smokes iirc; think KM is perhaps more of a social smoker?

StampMc · 05/04/2020 23:48

Mobile chest X-rays just aren’t as good, especially on the larger patient, and it would be difficult to justify doing one on the basis of the patient wanting to keep it secret rather than clinical need. I imagine it would be quite a faff too to transport the equipment and the (incredibly busy) radiographer rather than, as a pp said, whip him in with police escort and bundle him back again after 15 minutes in radiology. If they want to CT him then the InHealth van pulling up in Downing Street wouldn’t need a press release to gain attention.

FredaFrogspawn · 05/04/2020 23:48

I too am not a fan but I really hope he gets better. But it’s unlikely to happen quickly.

In the meantime the thought of Dominic Raab on charge is frankly terrifying. Would it definitely be him?

alloutoffucks · 05/04/2020 23:48

Of course I don't want anyone to die with corona virus, but it won't be panic stations if he does die. The impact on his pregnant girlfriend will be grave. But we have a cabinet and the country will carry on as before. Although the impact on morale would be grave. Might make people follow the rules though.

Moomin8 · 05/04/2020 23:48

I have been thinking that it seems inappropriate for him to be all dressed up in suits making speeches when clearly he's unwell and should be in bed. I can well imagine though that he would want to make less of this.

alloutoffucks · 05/04/2020 23:51

But agree he has been admitted for more than tests. An x ray and ct scan could be quickly done and he could be back home in a few hours. He has been admitted because they either want to keep a close eye on him with life saving equipment nearby, or he is having treatment they can only give in hospital.

Moomin8 · 05/04/2020 23:51

He was boasting about shaking hands with coronavirus patients - wrongly - and now here he is.

So was this actually true and evidence of why he's probably succumbed to this instead of taking it more seriously?

kateandme · 05/04/2020 23:52

routie tests non emergency

alloutoffucks · 05/04/2020 23:53

@Moomin8 Yes it is true. He is arrogant and probably thought if he got it would only be mildly like a cold.

Roostersmum2 · 05/04/2020 23:54

I hope he's going to be ok, his pregnant partner who also has covid must be extremely frightened

alloutoffucks · 05/04/2020 23:54

@kateandme If that was true there is no reason to keep him in overnight. You do not need to stay in hospital for x rays or ct scans.

kateandme · 05/04/2020 23:55

this illness though in particular does need rest his body needs y=to heal with everythig its got.running te coutry uder this much strss wont be helping him at all

kingofkings · 05/04/2020 23:57

Kate
Routine tests are those that are done fir monitoring or non urgent investigation purposes such as by the GP or in a hospital outpatient clinic.
This is an emergency admission.
The news just don't fully understand the system and report it like this to make it sound less serious.

HannahStern · 05/04/2020 23:58

He was certainly boasting about shaking hands with coronavirus patients. He didn't seem to take it seriously.
