Does anyone know how his health is and how he’s doing?

OP posts:
RantyAnty · 05/04/2020 19:49

He did look rough and he's not the picture of health anyway.

I do hope he is resting and listening to the doctors and not worrying about the country right now. The important thing is him to focus on getting well.

Biscuitsneeded · 05/04/2020 19:50

I dislike Boris and all he stands for but I wouldn't wish suffering on him. If he is quite unwell I hope he and his fiancee are getting good care - it might also make him value the NHS a little more. His strategy for dealing with Covid-19 has been appalling, negligent and lazy, but he isn't worse than Trump, who seems to have dodged a bullet the weekend he hung out with all those ailing Brazilians.

The80sweregreat · 05/04/2020 19:55

Yes, Mr Trump really is untouchable in the health stakes! Maybe all those sunbeds he must go under has healing properties.
( or the fake tan has special ingredients to stop illness)

smiften · 05/04/2020 19:55

He's in the flat above No.11, isn't he? I'm sure he will have oxygen, breathing equipment and a doctor on standby.

I hope he's up and about soon, a bit scary if he isn't.

Dongdingdong · 05/04/2020 19:58

If he and Carrie were living together where is he now? She's at Chequers I think so did they stick to the rules about staying put?

He’s in Downing Street. Hope he gets well soon.

VivaLeBeaver · 05/04/2020 20:01

I hope he’s ok.

I read Carrie had gone back to their London flat/house? Which made sense at the time as it was before she knew she had it. It would be very hard to isolate from a known case in a place as small as Downing Street (yes I know it’s bigger than it looks from the outside). As long as she was still self isolating which I’m sure she was.

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 05/04/2020 20:13

Well I hope he recovers. And CW.

To wish anything other than that is pretty awful. And I think he will value our health service more after this. He would be an utter fool not to.

It isn’t necessary to also have a political leaning or dislike of how things have been handled to wish a fellow human being a speedy recovery.

nicky7654 · 05/04/2020 20:13

I'm quite concerned for him. Sincerely hope he recovers soon and also hope his girlfriend is ok xx

Sertchgi123 · 05/04/2020 20:14

Rubbish, he's been following what the "experts" have said, not making it up himself.

If Starmer had been PM we'd be in exactly the same position. As PM in a situation like this, all you can do is follow what the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Scientific Officer and their teams advise.

FreakStar · 05/04/2020 20:15

eeerrr!! I hope he's not seriously ill but I bloody hope he is worrying about the country! It's his job and worry is needed right now!

Frownette · 05/04/2020 20:18

He must need an awful lot of sleep. I wish he'd just delegate for a few days.

VegetableMunge · 05/04/2020 20:19

Which expert told him to go round shaking hands with covid patients?

Schmoana · 05/04/2020 20:19

Find it strange that if you have his specific symptom I.e. a temperature, you can go back to
Work. Whereas my partner (NHS worker) who is still breathless, no longer needs to self isolate according to the guidance 🤨

Pieceofpurplesky · 05/04/2020 20:23

I can't stand the man and his politics but I would never wish Ill on anyone. I hope he is ok.

TheLadyAnneNeville · 05/04/2020 20:26

I wish him a swift recovery. I’m not a supporter but he did look very unwell.

RingtheBells · 05/04/2020 20:29

I think that he spoke to Keir Starmer on the phone this morning so hopefully that means he’s not too bad, he should be resting though

Get well soon Boris

NotEverythingIsBlackandwhite · 05/04/2020 20:32

@cologne4711

he's not exactly very fit, is he? Typical overweight well fed middle aged man. I know he likes cycling and jogging, but I could imagine he has highish blood pressure.
You can't tell someone has high BP from looking at them. I have low blood pressure and am overweight.

If you think he is "well fed" then why are you referring to him as overweight? Which is he?

Defenbaker · 05/04/2020 20:35

I hope he gets better soon. He's not perfect but I think he's done his best in really difficult circumstances and his positivity would be an asset right now.

Maybe he didn't heed his own advice enough, as he was still shaking hands with people in the early stages, but I guess it's hard to shake the habit of a lifetime, especially when you're a gregarious, sociable type like Boris. Whatever the mistakes he's made, he doesn't deserve to lose his life for them, and I think losing him would be a blow to the morale of the government and many people in the UK.

CuriousCatCatcher · 05/04/2020 20:37

He looks like he has understandably lost weight very recently and does not look well at all, I also wish him.a speedy recovery and think it is more than a temp!

Barrique · 05/04/2020 20:38

Well fed is the polite way of saying overweight.

I prefer “carrying a bit of condition”.

Exactly!

Schmoana · 05/04/2020 20:42

But why does the guidance on isolating mention his specific symptom!! What about all the NHS staff that according to the guidance have to go back to work unless they have a temperature like HIM. How fecking hypocrical. My partner is still coughing, so is supposed to go back to work, as they don’t have HIS symptom

Defenbaker · 05/04/2020 20:45

He's a little overweight, but it can be good to have some fat reserves to burn off when you're ill and don't feel like eating, so perhaps it's better than being underweight, in this situation.

Barrique · 05/04/2020 20:51

A little overweight?

He’s way more than that.

ClapForCats · 05/04/2020 20:53

I think he should have allowed his Cabinet to take over much more. I admire the "bulldog spirit" he is showing, (despite abhorring his politics) but he doesn't seem to be improving and I would not want him put his health before the needs of the country.

I hope that his doctors are a bit stricter with him, and make him rest.

As for Chris Whitty - I really hope he is getting better.

After the Calderwood debacle today it would be good to have some leadership which can be relied upon.
