New thread for us

@Standrewsschool same for me. 3 days of normal and back to burning eyes and slight temperature. I wonder if any exertion is causing this.
@Tangledyarn didn't realise you had a few health conditions too. You are doing amazing well in these circumstances! stay positive.

EMichel102 · 02/04/2020 09:33

@GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit I think the fever could just be your immune systems latent reaction from the initial virus still. But I’m not 100% sure. I’m day 17 today and have had a mild temperature at some point in the day at 37.3/37.4 every day. I’m still exhausted this am to the point where my body is still a bit shaky / wobbly and I feel slightly flu-y, spaced out, dizzy / light headed. But it’s better of course than it was a few days ago in terms of energy and movement. Still in bed most of the day watching Netflix but get myself up every so far to be downstairs for a few minutes.

Standrewsschool · 02/04/2020 09:41

I feel I’ve increased light jobs, eg put washing on, but hardly done anything strenuous.

mumlurker · 02/04/2020 09:43

@GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit @tangledyarn

I've also got a temperature on day 21. It had mostly gone away until last weekend but I think last night was the highest it's been? My whole face felt like it was burning.

This whole experience feels like a psychological battle - trying to work out what different symptoms mean, what's 'safe' to experience at home without help etc. I've also been wondering what it 'means' to have a fever/chills this late into an illness...

Sambucus · 02/04/2020 09:45

Thank you, @onlinelinda. Sorry to hear you are still not completely better. Glad it feels like you’re making progress, though. Let’s hope we are all better soon.

mymoonmyman2020 · 02/04/2020 09:55

Hi all, so sorry for those still going through it 💐

As I found it so helpful when others did - to offer a hopeful story - I’m day 11 and up and dressed for the first time. Energy feels almost back to normal but am being careful not to overdo it. Slightly chesty again so slight relapse on the front but feel like I’m headed in the right direction...

treedragon · 02/04/2020 09:58

Does anyone have issues with a horrid gunky mouth?

ofwarren · 02/04/2020 09:59

@treedragon
Not now but I did.
It tastes disgusting and my tongue has a white coating that was stained yellow and wouldn't wash off.

Lightsabre · 02/04/2020 10:01

Day 6 I think here. Feel nauseous this morning and dizzy. Slept 8 hours but still weak and exhausted- going to attempt a small bowl of cereal in bed.

Really need a shower and bed change but can't face it.
For those worrying about children, please phone the GP who can hopefully set your minds at rest.

Standrewsschool · 02/04/2020 10:11

@treedragon my mouth wasn’t gunky, but did have a strange taste. It was like early days of pregnancy when you crave calippos. I just wanted fresh tasting food.

KinderWild · 02/04/2020 10:13

Thanks for your kind words @SchrodingersKitty and will be good to know what they say @stayathomegardener.

I have woken up feeling just the same. And am in tears because the doc is refusing to speak to me. They just sent me a text saying I should read the government advice and self isolate for 14 days.

Sobbing.

treedragon · 02/04/2020 10:15

@ofwarren

That’s it. Was it you can literally scrape it off like butter?

treedragon · 02/04/2020 10:15

Also was your mouth and or tongue sore? Felt like it had gravel stuck on it?

ofwarren · 02/04/2020 10:17

@treedragon yes! Absolutely disgusting

Elllicam · 02/04/2020 10:17

@KinderWild that is shocking. I’m so sorry your gp is being so unhelpful. What are your symptoms this morning?

user34254356 · 02/04/2020 10:29

@EMichel102 @mumlurker

This is so frustrating. I also feel I have more energy now and spending more time downstairs but the return of the fever is really depressing me as I thought my body had won over the infection.

TheDrsWife46 · 02/04/2020 10:41

@KinderWild call 111, dont be put off thinking the call has disconnected it goes quiet for ages like minutes or crackles like its bad reception just STAY ON and they’ll get a GP to contact you.

Thank you everyone for messages of support. Dd managed to go to asleep at 2.30ish and whilst she was breathing she was fine but giving little coughs or gasps like apnoea. She is still saying she feels poorly like shaky. Me, I am weaker than weak. Yesterday was a good day where i managed a bath and a wander in the garden. Today i cant get off the sofa. Sad

Needsomegoodnews · 02/04/2020 10:47

Hi all, sorry to hear of lingering symptoms - but also a little relieved. Yesterday (day 15) I had a good day, up all day pottering around (playing with kids, work emails, bitof hoovering etc) and even went for a 10 minute gentle walk. This morning I feel lightheaded, eyes feel strained and my breathing feels more laboured again and I haven’t even done anything. It’s depressing and worrying but seems many have had this without a full relapse so fingers crossed..

user34254356 · 02/04/2020 10:47

@TheDrsWife46 so worrying about your daughter. Would i help to speak to the GP just for reassurance even though we know what it is?
sorry to hear you are feeling weaker today. It is two steps forward and one step back isn't it?

hollytom · 02/04/2020 10:48

@KinderWild that’s awful I was fobbed off by a receptionist, can you ring 111? This is one of the worst aspects of it to me the fact unless we need hospital you feel left with very little support. I sympathise

Lovelesslily · 02/04/2020 10:48

@mumlurker I think that's exactly how I feel ... a psychological battle! And the fear of leaving it too long and not being able to get help ...

Kidney symptoms nearly entirely gone but feeling very tight chested again today. I am not actually breathless, have done the breathing exercises/counting and can draw a deep breath but still feels as if I am fighting for oxygen. So scary and strange. Cough also back.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 02/04/2020 10:51

Hello, all. Thanks for the new thread, Spacecadet.

Checking in.

Day 10. Feel like I have a mild flu, delighted. Breathlessness is pretty much away and I slept all night with no fever. Now just weak and wobbly with congestion. But feel like I'm recovering.

Hope it continues. Sending strength to all of you feeling rotten or worried or looking after people with it while feeling hellish yourselves. It's horrible. I very much hope we get some immunity once we've had it. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

littleblackdress04 · 02/04/2020 11:02

@ScrimpshawTheSecond I am a day behind you so it’s reassuring to hear where you are at & glad you feel better.

I slept 8 hours last nt for first time in 2 weeks- chest feels better- still feel wobbly though & like i am having mini waves of it still. Got some chest pain still but it comes and goes- do you think it is the virus moving through?

WanderingLost167 · 02/04/2020 11:06

D15.
Ugh
Sore chest, exhausted and choking feeling back. Child free though for 4 days so going to rest and hope that helps

So so boring!

However, I'm so grateful that it's only been as bad as it has when some have had it so much worse.

Casino218 · 02/04/2020 11:13

I'm just checking in. Day 24. I'm still ok. Very very slight rib pain but otherwise ok. Recovering now.Take care all. X
