@longshot started a new thread as the other filled up and I thought you were poorly and people would be wanting to find out how you were doing.

OP posts:
TheDrsWife46 · 29/03/2020 20:27

Ive had an embolism
Asthma
Two emergency c sections
Mastitis
And a quinsy

Nothing has come close to this shit. Sorry @kevintheorangecarrot without me scrolling back how has 11th day been?

Casino218 · 29/03/2020 20:27

I just expected at 20 days I would not be feeling this way. I want my old life back!

OP posts:
TheDrsWife46 · 29/03/2020 20:29

@Casino218 god I’m so sorry. I feel that desperate and you have 12/13 days on me. Sending you honestly all the love and compassion in the world. I know that may feel empty from a stranger but it is honestly heartfelt

Casino218 · 29/03/2020 20:31

We're all in this together guys. The comfort of strangers. 😁

OP posts:
FabulouslyElegantTits · 29/03/2020 20:37

The comfort of strangers indeed 😊

TheDrsWife46 · 29/03/2020 20:38

I keep thinking how can i repay you all. Its not like i can send u all flowers or gifts. Its a fucking anonymous site and we’re all having money worries in the back ground.

My real name is Emily.

There. Just a little tiny personal gesture to all of you in this awful time, closed off from our real friends and family. I am a real person, im 41 with two daughters, and my name is Emily.

And i am so very very grateful for every poster who has responded to my despair despite their own fear

Rewy · 29/03/2020 20:39

I’ve had congested nose for a week and have felt hot at times but I’ve managed to brush it off as psychological until now. My dd’s and me and Dp are all tired and we are experiencing the back and lung pains I’m not so sure. Feeling anxious about it now.

littleblackdress04 · 29/03/2020 20:39

Sorry that everyone still feeling shit- it’s so bloody grim.
I had a massive panic attack earlier caused by this feeling of a dry lump in my throat- has anyone else had similar? I’ve been having hot drinks, vitamins etc but it’s still there & feels weird.
Anyone know what it is?

Casino218 · 29/03/2020 20:45

@Thedrswife46. Lovely name. Age is on your side there. I'm 53 , two daughters 20 and 14 I was running 5 k until a few weeks ago. Now? I wouldn't try that's for sure. I'm going to get so fat.

OP posts:
EMichel102 · 29/03/2020 20:50

@TheDrsWife46 @Casino218 and everyone else - it’s such a lovely support group. I’m 35, 20 month old twins and a 5 year old. No underlying health conditions. And this thing has absolutely floored me for the past 13 days! Particularly the nights when I also struggle more with it for some reason.

Casino218 · 29/03/2020 20:54

@EMichel102 wow you have your hands full with your children let alone this. I'm in awe how some of you are managing this with younger kids.

TheDrsWife46 · 29/03/2020 20:56

@rewy and @littleblackdress04

The only way I can describe this is that my breathing is okay. Oximeter says 97% yet my physical bodily sensations are like my body is screaming “NOVICHOK!!!”

stayathomegardener · 29/03/2020 20:58

Would it be an incredibly selfish suggestion to start the new thread in time with just the title part 4 if you feel able @Casino218?
I'm conscious that the original title has drawn some unhelpful comments at times and I so appreciate not having to justify my fears or anxiety on here.

Spacecadetagain · 29/03/2020 20:59

Hi Emily . You are amongst friends here . I’ve been on this site for 15 years .. finding it a wonderful source of support when I had a newborn. Back then . I’ve lurked more than anything over the last few years but I find that MN never fails to deliver when you need real support .

Casino218 · 29/03/2020 21:01

Yes could do that @stayathomegardener . I think we have had symptoms longer and talked to gps etc but many haven't got to that point yet. Also 111doesnt help really.

OP posts:
littleblackdress04 · 29/03/2020 21:01

@TheDrsWife46 I have an Oximeter on my phone so prob not that accurate but saying my SATS are 96% too yet I feel poisoned & exactly the same as you! Am on day 7/8 too - it’s panic attack central!

TiddleTaddleTat · 29/03/2020 21:03

Felt very fatigued today but for the first time this week I've listened to it and stayed in bed for the vast majority of the day, which has really really helped. I get chest pains when I'm up and about. Feel shattered when I try and 'do' anything.
Will be working from home for the whole of this week , will aim to exert myself as little as possible and stay in bed / sitting where I can.
I'm on day 17 and thought I was over it but you really need to slow down when your body tells you to. I think this might have been over quicker if I'd been able to rest before, but we are mid renovation and I've been sleeping on the floor of DD's room while our room was sorted (ugh) so we had to finish our bedroom and get the bed installed back again.

TheDrsWife46 · 29/03/2020 21:09

@Spacecadetagain i have been on here since 2006 as TheDoctorsWife46 and then Tinkerisdead in my panic to be back on here I just reregistered but now my posting history is lost. This place has seen me through some dark times.

@littleblackdress04 it looks like we’re along the same timeline then my lovely. Ive managed to settle a bit by leaning over pillows like a birthing ball in front of an open window.

DH says he has hyperthermia from it

KinderWild · 29/03/2020 21:10

@TiddleTaddleTat I am similar. I haven't rested properly and it has resurged.

@TheDrsWife46 Hi Emily. I am 41 too. With a 4yr old boy. I was fairly fit and healthy before this. My op was for a leg injury. I do have asthma. This thing has been the sickest I've ever felt. And the scariest. xx

MammyZ · 29/03/2020 21:12

@TheDoctorsWife46: I took regular paracetamol during the day but found co-codemol at night took the edge off the chills.

littleblackdress04 · 29/03/2020 21:13

@TheDrsWife46 I might try that. I didn’t get to sleep until 3am because I was too scared so hoping for a better night tonight. I just want to be well again 🤞🏻😩

Porcupineinwaiting · 29/03/2020 21:16

Poisoned is an excellent description. I've had a lousy day 11, felt so short of breath and with a crushing weight on my chest most of the day. Yet my oxymeter reading is excellent and I've just done my peak flow and that's totally normal too. So fuck knows what's going on.

I'm 48. Asthmatic and fat. Husband and two great boys aged 14 and 12. I miss them so much.

KinderWild · 29/03/2020 21:19

@MammyZ thats interesting re the co-codemol. I was prescribed codeine after my op and took it during the start of this thing, and slept pretty well.

Casino218 · 29/03/2020 21:20

@Porcupineinwaiting are you isolating separately from them in the house? That must be difficult. We got it and the same time and DD I think got it very mildly.

OP posts:
Porcupineinwaiting · 29/03/2020 21:23

Yes I'm in our bedroom which is ensuite. So that works but the isolation doesn't help with the fear. They say I can come out now as its longer than 7 days but I'm so full of symptoms that I dont dare. Sad
