@longshot started a new thread as the other filled up and I thought you were poorly and people would be wanting to find out how you were doing.

@stayathomegardener I will definitely come back and let you know

KingaRoo · 29/03/2020 18:33

@Littleninja1 I took the test on what I think was Day 10, counting from the tight chest starting. I didn't have any chills and wouldn't say I felt very unwell, I was able to continue working from home, although felt very tired. It was mainly the tight chest that was difficult to deal with, and the fatigue.

IpanemaGallina · 29/03/2020 18:34

@KinderWild I have extreme nausea. Haven’t managed anything today. I’ve not eaten since Wednesday evening, except two crackers yesterday with marmite tea. My lower back has been so painful. Day6/7

UnionistMum · 29/03/2020 18:35

@stayathomegardener thanks for this.
Yes, I have both my sister and her day with me at home. I’m just worried about this lightheaded feeling I have. Kind of reminds me of the feeling I get after 2 glasses of wine( I’m a lightweight/ start to get drunk very easily).

EMichel102 · 29/03/2020 18:36

Thought this was super relevant story in terms of someone on the mend now.

KindaWild four weeks!
That's hard.

UnionistMum · 29/03/2020 18:40

@ KinderWild thank you so much for the words and I’m really glad you son is well. Funniest enough, my daughter had a runny nose on Wednesday and is still a bit unwell but seems to be doing fine.

tangledyarn · 29/03/2020 18:45

Its so important to eat. Not eating will make you more nauseous. I know it's hard, I've literally had no appetite for 3 weeks and have lost half a stone. But low blood sugar will make you feel really terrible. Please eat something even if it's just a banana or a slice of toast..you might find that by doing that slowly you feel a bit less sick. Honestly I have chronic dizziness and vertigo with nausea but we must eat to get better xx

mymoonmyman2020 · 29/03/2020 18:47

Thanks @EMichel102 for that article - that is very relevant - also a bit scary that she got so much worse at day 10/11 - is that what others have found?

I just had a dip at day 7 and dread having another one at day 10! But it may also be people counting from different points etc. A friend who is a doctor mentioned to be a common turning point (for the worse) is day 7.

KinderWild · 29/03/2020 18:51

@IpanemaGallina sorry that you're feeling so nauseous and have the back pain. That sounds horrible. Hope you can stomach something today. Whatever you feel you can.

@stayathomegardener i feel it is slightly my fault for pushing myself too hard, but then i did start to feel a bit better. And i'm not great at self care.

@unionistmum - not at all. and glad your little one is doing okay xx

stayathomegardener · 29/03/2020 18:53

Thanks@EMichel102 two baths a day and hot bottle on chest keeps on coming up here too.

Interesting that she is allowing herself a month from now to recover.

I need to look at changing my mindset.

stayathomegardener · 29/03/2020 18:57

@KinderWild the long term self care if you possibly can post this illness is something the government should be advising on.

Back to work in 7 days will put so much more strain on the NHS.

EMichel102 · 29/03/2020 19:00

@mymoonmyman2020 I think it really depends but I think you’re “safe” if you get past day 7 without real escalation.

@stayathomegardener I’m praying she’s being overly conservative on her month long recovery in bed! I think I’d go crazy!

KinderWild · 29/03/2020 19:02

@stayathomegardener excellent point.

Casino218 · 29/03/2020 19:05

Just read article and I was thinking should I be on antibiotics . I'm not breathless or coughing up phlegm just shooting chest pains

OP posts:
TheDrsWife46 · 29/03/2020 19:05

@EMichel102 interesting article but now im significantly worried about day ten Sad I came on to say that I havent had the chills/shakes/poisoned feeling since the early hours. Im on day 7 and I have major burning in my chest and a heartburn feeling in my throat. But ive sat quietly on the sofa all day and had no panic. Also ate some scrambled eggs and ive not eaten for a week.

KinderWild · 29/03/2020 19:09

@TheDrsWife glad to hear you've eaten and had a restful day.

I don't know what day I am on. And fear I may have relapsed on my recovery having pushed myself before I was ready - so should I start a count again and if so when from? Not sure. I am focusing on the thought that every day I am one day closer to getting better. I think I need to think this way to keep myself as healthy as i can be and try and beat this thing xxx

stayathomegardener · 29/03/2020 19:22

I'm thinking the same @Casino218?

EMichel102 · 29/03/2020 19:24

@TheDrsWife46 the chest burning thing is absolutely normal but uncomfortable I know. I still have it, particularly in the evening. Try gaviscon - it can help.

Casino218 · 29/03/2020 19:24

@stayathomegardener my GP is notoriously reluctant to prescribe anything. It seems some people on here are being prescribed them when they just have a cough but I'm 20 days into this now and still have chest pains.

OP posts:
EMichel102 · 29/03/2020 19:29

Does anyone else’s body “buzz / tremor” when they’re getting fatigued or toward the evening? It seems to come with the lung burning for me at the same time...

pinkoneblueone · 29/03/2020 19:34

I get the tremors as part of a panic attack. Which I have had several of today. If anyone has tips to calm down please send them my way

TheDrsWife46 · 29/03/2020 19:43

Fuck. I spoke to soon. Im getting the shakes in my legs already and ive gone very very hot. I could cry. I thought i’d turned a corner. The burning in my lungs is so so pronounced but its the crawling hot skin that finishes me. Its like ive dived off a cliff now. Ive had such a comfortable day and im heading into the evening feeling delirious again.
I cant keep strong. Ive already had one meltdown begging for valium from the GP. I can’t do another night

Rewy · 29/03/2020 19:52

Hi four of us here and we are experiencing pain in sides and back around the lung area.
Is this a symptom ?

Freshairimportanttoo · 29/03/2020 19:53

Casino I honestly think you should be demanding anti biotics. And Dr's wife have you had anti biotics?
