@longshot started a new thread as the other filled up and I thought you were poorly and people would be wanting to find out how you were doing.

Anyone else have dips in blood pressure?
My pulse feels really slow and my head hurts.
Just asked my husband for a sugary tea.

MidsummerMeadow · 28/03/2020 12:00

Sorry if this has been discussed already but is anyone getting chest tightness with a low temperature? Mine’s been around 35 since I woke up and I feel cold even though the heating’s on and I’m wrapped up.

tupperwaretowers · 28/03/2020 12:01

I feel I have had this for 11-15 days now, pain in back, random stabbing pains in chest, sore throat throughout (no cough to note), dicky tummy, jittery/shaking. Low fever appeared yesterday. Everything appears at random. Is this pretty much the same for all of you??

Runkle · 28/03/2020 12:04

Has anyone had theirs start with awful ear pain? I'm getting sharp shooting pains every 60 secs. I've tried pain relief but nothing is touching it and the pain is literally stopping me in my tracks. Temp is normal, feel okish otherwise just tired.

Spacecadetagain · 28/03/2020 12:06

@EMichel102 . I felt really tired for a couple of days about two weeks ago but fatigue hasn’t kicked in for me until yesterday . The back chest pains etc seem to be par the course for most of us and like a lot of the symptoms they seem to wax and wane

SchrodingersKitty · 28/03/2020 12:11

@TheDrsWife46: have you managed to speak to a doctor yet? Do keep talking to us if it helps.

ofwarren · 28/03/2020 12:12

Yes tupperweartowers
I have all of those symptoms too

ofwarren · 28/03/2020 12:12

@midsummermeadow
I haven't had any temp spikes at all. Just low and shivering

EMichel102 · 28/03/2020 12:13

@tupperwaretowers yes it’s sadly a mixture of exact timelines and symptoms, yet most are familiar and the same generally. You didn’t mention fatigue / exhaustion - do you have this as well? I have had all the rest of things you mentioned on and off (sometimes worse sometimes less depending on the day / time)

tupperwaretowers · 28/03/2020 12:22

Yes fatigue/exhaustion as well. Loss of appetite as well. Looks like a lot in the same boat which I’m taking a large amount of comfort from. We can do this!!

MidsummerMeadow · 28/03/2020 12:22

@ofwarren @tupperwaretowers thanks for replying. I don’t feel ill as such, just had this chest tightness, like a band around/below the bra line as others have mentioned and a few sharper pains and feeling breathless. But my oximeter stats and temp have been fine, until this low temp today. Was feeling cold last night, my hands were like ice and still are although that’s not all that unusual for me, I woke up sweaty so checked temp and it was much lower than usual, still is. Feel a bit too off today, can’t really explain it.

I guess all we can do is keep an eye on how we feel.

DandyPenguin · 28/03/2020 12:33

I’m not feeling great this morning, feeling cold, but shivery. Still low mood. Got more thirst today than normal and feel less hungry.

Up until now I’ve had a very good appetite through this. Am I the only one?

Porcupineinwaiting · 28/03/2020 12:37

Appetite was the first thing to go for me. I noticed because I usually have an excellent one. Since I started its resurfaced twice, on better days. On worse days I am only thirsty, although I do try and have at least a little soup.

stayathomegardener · 28/03/2020 12:40

I have a special new gadget, not sure if it's going to cause me more or less anxiety or even sure how to really interpret it.

My lungs feel like they are on fire - part 3
dontdisturbmenow · 28/03/2020 12:43

Everyone seems to be describing the exact same symptoms with the same patterns, so one sure thing, we either all have it or there's another virus doing the rounds at the moment.

Casino218 · 28/03/2020 12:44

@stayathomegardener as long as you know the other factors that can impact.

So if you are anaemic for example this lowers you sats but obviously that is not connected to your lungs.

Also don't expect 100% sats. Just don't sit looking at it and worrying- it's only one piece of equipment and your clinical picture is more complex than that

Im waiting for a doctor to call me back. But because i was in the midsts of the tremors/chills/skin prickles etc...its like transition in labour where you cant carry on and want to get off. My mum video called me whilst I was bad and was lovely (unlike earlier in the week) and now its eased i can manage the breathing and chest pains. They offered A&E but I dont want that. I cant breathe its the affects on my body Im not coping with.

Thank you for everyone telling me not to take the valium. I will listen I promise. Im just desperate for relief.

SchrodingersKitty · 28/03/2020 12:46

@DandyPenguin: hi again. I've had a good appetite throughout too. Would not normally be the case with me with flu. I think alongside rest drinking loads is the best thing we can do to help our bodies fight this.

ofwarren · 28/03/2020 12:47

Loss of appetite happened very quickly for me too.
I bought some of those medical milks with the high calories in so I still get fuel.

SchrodingersKitty · 28/03/2020 12:48

@TheDrsWife46: good to hear you are still carrying on carrying on. And that your mum was more sympathetic. How is your daughter?

hollytom · 28/03/2020 12:49

Not had a good morning also on that antibiotic and had a horrible taste in my mouth. The breathlessness has been worse this morning. It’s not a nice feeling at all

DandyPenguin · 28/03/2020 12:52

Can they ‘offer’ A&E? Or do you mean they suggested it?

Do NHS-111 have the option to get you seen more quickly in A&E by referring you?

If they think someone should be seen quickly surely they’d send an ambulance.

simbobs · 28/03/2020 12:52

Placemarking this thread as I have a tight, dry feeling in my chest and the occasional dry cough. Had a more phlegmy cough off and on since before Christmas, so hadn't assumed it was anything problematic, now not so sure. I am the forager in our household as DH in vulnerable group and DC don't drive. We are doing social distancing but it is almost impossible to achieve in supermarkets, despite the increased measures. I am reluctant to make up spare bed, but may have to isolate myself. Don't see why I should have to relinquish comfy bed and en suite, but I know that is what will happen if the worst comes to the worst. Really helpful thread, though.

DandyPenguin · 28/03/2020 12:55

Hi again @SchrodingersKitty Smile

Good to know I’m not the only one who’s had a good appetite And yes agree normally when I have flu I lose my appetite.

Meercatmama · 28/03/2020 12:55

I am back in bed feeling tired and with some chest tightness and a funny lot of burping , I have taken to listening to audio books now when this happens as I find they relax me and take my mind of it without much effort. Headache appears every now and then. I thought I woud be a lot better today
